This role ensures the timely, accurate, and efficient handling of materials for inventory and customer orders while enforcing compliance with core and program-specific processes.\nThe Team Lead collaborates with Order Management, Corporate Sourcing, Inventory Planning, Project/Program/Account Management, and Transportation teams to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. Additionally, this position manages tasks beyond standard shipments, focusing on shipment accuracy and overall quality control\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nQuality Control & Compliance\nMonitor and ensure quality control for warehouse processes, including receiving, picking, and shipping.\nExamine materials to verify conformance to specifications.\nIdentify and implement improvements to enhance quality, schedule adherence, and cost efficiency.\nAddress and resolve quality findings, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.\nInventory & Data Management\nPerform inventory adjustments and cycle counting (e.g., RMAs, non-conforming materials, order posting).\nManage warehouse data processes, including material transfers, order maintenance, Oracle tracking updates, and routing.\nTrack inventory accuracy, generate reports, and resolve discrepancies.\nMaintain accurate records of material inventory, production status, and location.\nMaterial Handling & Workflow Coordination\nCoordinate and expedite the flow of materials and parts, ensuring efficient inventory management.\nMonitor and control material movement across departments.\nTransport materials as needed to support warehouse operations.\nCommunication & Reporting\nCommunicate inventory status and updates to warehouse teams, operations, project management, and customers.\nMaintain detailed records of time and production activities.\nLeadership & Training\nProvide training on required skills to warehouse team members.\nMaintain training records and assist the supervisor in tracking employee development.\nCoordinate department activities and special projects to meet quality and timeline objectives.\nLead and schedule resources to achieve department productivity and quality goals.\nWorkplace Safety & Team Culture\nPromote and maintain a safe work environment, taking corrective actions as needed.\nReinforce a culture that values teamwork, diversity, and continuous improvement.\nIdentify opportunities for improvement and provide constructive feedback for change.\nResolve and escalate issues in a timely manner to ensure operational efficiency.\nManagerial Responsibility\nNo direct reports. \nTravel/Shift Requirements\nNone\nPhysical Demands\nLift up to 50 lbs\n\nPush utility carts up to 60 lbs\n\nStand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shift\n\nUse carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move items around\n\nGo up and down stairs\n\nWill be exposed to an environment with variable temperatures\n\nBe trained to and operate forklifts for up to 6 hours a day\n\nSkills and Abilities Required\nStrong knowledge of standard warehouse procedures and inventory control systems.\n\nProficiency in MS Excel, Microsoft Office, and Word; experience with data retrieval and entry.\n\nAbility to type at least 30 words per minute.\n\nExperience using computer peripherals such as barcode scanners, printers, and label printers.\n\nWork experience in ISO/TL 9000-certified operations.\n\nAbility to work independently with demonstrated leadership skills.\n\nStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.\n\nExcellent problem-solving abilities.\n\nAbility to lift and move up to 50 lbs.\n\nProficiency in basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and working with fractions and decimals.\nEducation and Experience Required\nHigh school diploma or equivalency. \nMinimum of 5 years warehouse experience in inventory control capacity.\nMinimum of 6 months Warehouse Management Experience (WMS).\nTrained in safety of lifting, handling, and transporting materials of various shapes, sizes and weights. \nEducation and Experience Preferred\nAssociate’s degree in business management, logistics, or similar.\nTelamon Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
