We are an accredited Azure Expert MSP provider, and have also been awarded Google Cloud’s 2024 EMEA Public Sector Partner of the Year award.\nWhat will your role be?\nThe Principal Technology Consultant is the senior technical relationship owner for a portfolio of strategic accounts, acting as the trusted technical advisor to client CIOs, CTOs and IT leadership. Often acting as “Account CxO” based on need, this role bridges commercial account management and technical strategy - shaping client technology roadmap, ensuring solutions align to business outcomes, and acting as the escalation point for technical credibility across pre-sales, delivery, and managed service. \nThis is a client-facing leadership role rather than a hands-on engineering role: as a Principal Technical Consultant you will set the technical direction, while working closely with delivery leads, architects, and engineering teams who execute.\nWhat will you be doing?\nStrategic account leadership\nOwn the technical relationship with named strategic accounts, acting as the client's primary point of contact for technology strategy and roadmap conversations\n\nBuild and maintain trusted advisor relationships with client CTOs, CIOs, and senior technical stakeholders\n\nTranslate client business objectives into a coherent technology strategy spanning cloud platform, data, AI, and application landscape\n\nCommercial and growth support\nPartner with account/sales leadership to identify and shape new opportunities within existing accounts, including cross-sell and upsell across platform, data, AI, and managed service lines\n\nProvide technical credibility and input into bids, proposals, and commercial qualification, particularly for complex opportunities\n\nSupport contract renewals and expansion by demonstrating delivered value and forward roadmap\n\nProvide thought leadership and subject matter expertise, supporting marketing campaigns and events to promote Telana’s perception, reputation and capabilities in the industry.\n\nDelivery support\nAct as escalation point for technical risk, ensuring issues are resolved before they threaten client relationships or delivery outcomes\n\nReview architecture and solution design at key account milestones to ensure alignment with client strategy and Telana standards (Azure Expert MSP, ISO frameworks)\n\nClient advisory\nRun periodic technology roadmap and innovation sessions with client stakeholders\n\nKeep clients informed of relevant Microsoft/Google cloud and AI technology developments and how they map to their environment\n\nRepresent the client's technical interests internally, ensuring delivery teams understand context and constraints\n\nKey Relationships\nInternal: Sales leadership, Telana CTO, Heads of Practises, Managed Services and Service Delivery, solution architects, delivery/engagement leads\n\nExternal: Client CTO/CIO and senior technical stakeholders, Microsoft/Google partner teams where relevant to the account\n\nSuccess Metrics\nAccount growth (net revenue retention, cross-sell/upsell value) within owned portfolio\n\nClient satisfaction / NPS for owned accounts\n\nTechnical win rate on qualified opportunities within the account\n\nThis may be you:\nSenior technical leadership experience (Enterprise Architect, Technical Director, CTO, or equivalent), ideally within an IT services, consulting, or MSP environment\n\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google cloud and AI technologies; able to speak credibly to CIOs on cloud, data, and AI strategy\n\nTrack record of building trusted client relationships and translating technical capability into commercial outcomes\n\nExperience supporting or shaping bids/proposals; comfortable in a pre-sales-adjacent capacity \n\nWhat we offer you\nYou will be a part of a skilled, inspiring, and supportive team, and work in an environment that encourages long term personal growth.\nFlexible, and trust-based work environment with a healthy work life balance.\nOur people come first.
