If you're energized by solving impactful challenges, building automation-first infrastructure, and working closely with teams across the organization, this role is for you.\nAbout the jobAs a Network Engineer at Telavox, you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and operating our core network infrastructure. This includes everything from data center networking and edge PoPs to cloud-native integrations and infrastructure automation. You’ll work with a team of experienced engineers who embrace a DevOps mindset and operate with autonomy, quality, and agility.\nYour day-to-day work may include:\nBuilding and operating Linux-based routers, from the packet processing layer up through the routing stack\n\nDesigning and implementing scalable and future-proof network solutions, both on-prem and across distributed global environments\n\nAutomating configuration, monitoring, and provisioning using tools like Ansible, Python, and Bash\n\nExpanding and maintaining our international edge network of PoP sites\n\nManaging our hybrid infrastructure and private cloud with Kubernetes networking at the core\n\nSupporting the development of our infrastructure APIs to enable self-service for product teams\n\nEnsuring high availability and performance through technologies like OSPF, BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, and WireGuard/IPsec\n\nCollaborating across product and platform teams to turn complex requirements into practical, robust infrastructure\n\nAbout youYou’re a systems thinker with deep networking expertise and a drive to simplify, automate, and scale. You’ve worked on large-scale network architectures, are comfortable with Linux and open-source tooling, and love tackling hard problems collaboratively. You're systematic and structured in your approach, but flexible in how you find solutions.\nKey skills and experience we’re looking for:\nExtensive experience designing and operating large-scale, production-grade network environments.\n\nProficiency with Linux networking\n\nHands-on experience with hypervisor- and container-based workloads\n\nFamiliarity with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), tunneling (VXLAN, EVPN), and secure networking (WireGuard, IPsec)\n\nComfortable with automation and scripting (Ansible, Python, Bash).\n\nExperience with monitoring and observability tools such as Observium, Netbox, Icinga, Prometheus, and Grafana\n\nExcellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset—you enjoy sharing your knowledge and working across team boundaries.\n\nStrong understanding of network segmentation, zero-trust principles, and security best practices for protecting critical infrastructure\n\nGood-to-have skills:\nExperience with Juniper, VPP, and FRR\n\nNetwork or cloud certifications (JNCIE, CCNP, AWS, etc.)\n\nExperience deploying and operating Kubernetes clusters, especially on-prem\n\nJoin us at Telavox 💚Since Telavox's journey started in 2002, we have strengthened our position as the leading forward-thinking communication platform for businesses.
