Within Network Data, our Performance Management team builds and operates the in-house systems that collect, process and analyze performance data across all network domains.\nWe are now looking for a Senior Software Engineer who wants to play a key role in evolving and modernizing our core performance systems.\nAbout the team\nYou will join a highly technical team of software engineers responsible for Tele2’s Performance Management platform. We collect and process large-scale telemetry and statistics from mobile and fixed networks, transforming raw data into insights that drive operational and strategic decisions. We are currently evolving our architecture and we actively embrace modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development tools, to accelerate how we design, build, and maintain our software. This means you will have real influence over architecture, technical direction and ways of working.\nAbout the role\nThis is not a junior position. We are looking for someone who can:\n· Take technical ownership of critical services\n· Contribute to system design and architectural decisions\n· Improve performance, scalability and reliability\n· Mentor and elevate the engineering standards of the team\nYou will work in a Linux-based, containerized environment handling high-volume data streams and backend services.\nYour responsibilities\n· Design, develop and evolve backend services in Go and/or Java\n· Improve and optimize high-throughput data processing pipelines\n· Drive best practices around CI/CD, testing and engineering quality\n· Operate and troubleshoot systems in production\n· Collaborate with architects, analysts and network stakeholders\n· Contribute to long-term system design and modernization initiatives\nParticipation in on-call rotation may be part of the role.\nWhat we are looking for\nWe believe you have:\n· Several years of professional software development experience\n· Strong hands-on experience in Go and/or Java\n· Solid understanding of Linux-based systems\n· Experience with Git-based CI/CD pipelines\n· Experience working with containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes)\n· Experience with Kafka or other event-driven architectures\n· Experience in designing scalable backend systems\n· Understanding of networking fundamentals\nIt is a strong plus if you have experience with:\n· Ansible or infrastructure automation\n· System design in high-availability environments\n· Performance optimization of large-scale data processing\n· Observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)\nWho you are\nYou are a curious and hands-on software engineer who thinks beyond your own code.
