These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.\nWe are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.\nJob Description\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities: \nConducting procedural tests on production product including incoming material needed to support customer need date\n\nResponsible for understanding and use of all test equipment, test fixtures, and procedures\n\nMaintaining security for all quality verification equipment and its calibration control\n\nNotify errors on procedures, drawings, bills of material, and router to the support teams (Quality, Manufacturing Engineering)\n\nResponsible for completing documentation (shop packs, quality test reports) accurately and timely\n\nResponsible for entering data into the ERP system accurately and timely\n\nResponsible for maintaining high quality standards and workmanship\n\nMaintain excellent communication and working relationship with all departments within the company\n\nMaintain a safe working environment\n\nCommunicating special tooling needed to perform operation that may have not been identified\n\nOral/Written Communication - Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Records data\n\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent / Minimum of 2 Years’ experience in manufacturing environment\n\nAbility to apply common sense in performing job\n\nAbility to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines\n\nAbility to read and interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals\n\nAbility to use basic high school math skills\n\nTwo-year technician degree or equivalent\n\nExperience/training with basic electricity\n\nExperience handling fiber optic related product\n\nJob Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nAbility to use test equipment needed to perform tasks (Meggers, Ohm-meters)\n\nAbility to use optical test equipment\n\nComputer Literate Working knowledge of MSOffice programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook\n\nAbility to work in a team environment\n\nAbility to work with little or no notice of overtime when needed\n\nAble to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications and procedures\n\nTraining Requirements:\nERP Overview\n\nSix Sigma Overview\n\nHazardous Communications\n\nQuality Systems\n\nPhysical Demands:\nMust be able to lift up to 70 pounds\n\nDaily computer usage\n\nRepetitive motions\n\nWork Environment:\nProduction Floor Environment\n\nPersonal Protective Equipment:\nSafety Glasses required at all times\n\nSteel Tip Safety Shoes\n\nWill be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.\n#DGO\nTeledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
