These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.\nWe are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.\nJob Description\nReporting to the Production Manager, this position will assemble, solder, and perform basic tests for subassemblies, optical assemblies, CCD based detectors, and other scientific instruments in a clean room environment within our ISO-9000 production facility.\nRESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:\nAssemble intricate mechanical assemblies and subassemblies with precision tools and fixtures.\nCrimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.\nConnects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points, using crimping, welding, wire bonding or related bonding procedures and equipment.\nAdjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.\nPerforms on-line go-no-go testing and inspection, using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.\nMeasures parts to verify dimensional specifications using precision measuring devices.\nMay set up and operate machinery to modify parts.\nInput data into, and extract data from, various production and company databases and ERP systems.\nRead work orders, drawings, and procedures regarding duties to be performed.\nParticipate in cross-training activities.\nIdentify problems with documentation and initiate corrections and improvements for new and existing products and methods.\nAssist in transferring new product assemblies, instruments from product development into production.\nEDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE NEEDS:\nHigh School education or equivalent.\n3-5 years of experience in electro/mechanical assembly and test environment.\nPrior microscopic/ precision assembly experience.\nIPC-610 or J-STD-001 certification preferred\nAbility to work in a team environment\nProficient computer skills\nGood interpersonal skills\nExperience with ERP Systems\nExperience with ISO-9001\nCitizenship requirements:\nDue to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.\nWhat can Teledyne offer YOU?\nA Competitive Salary & Benefits Package\nExcellent Health, Dental, Vision\nPaid Vacation Time\nPaid Sick Time\nLife Insurance Benefits\nPaid Holidays\n401(k) Eligibility\nEmployee Stock Purchase Plan\nEducational Tuition Reimbursement\nTeledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
