These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.\nWe are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.\nJob Description\nJob Description - Electronics Engineer\nWorking Hours: 8:30am to 5pm Monday - Thursday & 9am to 3pm Friday\nReports To: Engineering Manager\nCore Responsibilities\nSpecify, develop, source, and commission electronic hardware for new Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and automation projects.\nProvide maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and technical support for ATE systems and manufacturing equipment.\nOwn the lifecycle of production test electronics, including fault diagnosis, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair.\nDesign and develop electronic solutions to support business and customer requirements.\nProvide technical support to customers integrating DD Scientific gas sensors into their instruments and systems.\nSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, working closely with R&D, Production, and Quality teams to transition products into manufacture.\nManage suppliers, including the specification, sourcing, procurement, and technical evaluation of electronic components and assemblies.\nIdentify and implement improvements to product quality, reliability, efficiency, and test capability.\nProduce and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, and test procedures.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects and support operational performance.\nSkills, Experience and Qualifications\nHNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.\nMinimum of 5 years' experience in an electronic engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.\nProven ability in analogue and digital circuit design, development, and troubleshooting.\nStrong knowledge of PCB design principles and proficiency with KiCad or equivalent software, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and generation of Gerber files and BOMs.\nWorking knowledge of version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or equivalent.\nKnowledge of data acquisition hardware and techniques, such as LabJack systems or equivalent.\nBasic electrical and mechanical assembly skills, including the wiring and construction of control cabinets.\nFamiliarity with LabVIEW and SQL databases would be beneficial; training can be provided for candidates with the willingness and aptitude to learn.\nExposure to robot programming, machine vision systems, or industrial automation would be an asset.\nAbility to provide customer technical support and translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions.\nExperience supporting suppliers and NPI projects within a manufacturing environment would be beneficial.\nStrong problem-solving, fault-finding, organisational, and communication skills.\nAbility to deliver projects on time and work effectively both independently and within a team.\nKey Competencies\nAnalytical and methodical approach to problem-solving.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nGood organisational and time management skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nStrong customer focus and ability to build effective working relationships.\nProactive approach to continuous improvement and innovation.\nTeledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
