This role focuses on ensuring assembled units meet performance and quality specifications through detailed test procedures, diagnostics, and system validation. The Manufacturing Technician plays a critical role in maintaining product reliability by identifying issues and restoring functionality in complex devices.\nPrimary Job Duties & Responsibilities\nOperate and test precision electro-mechanical and optical systems to verify performance against specifications\nExecute detailed test procedures using diagnostic equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other measurement tools\nTroubleshoot and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues to restore product functionality\nAnalyze test results and identify root causes of failures or performance deviations\nPerform system-level validation of complex devices, ensuring adherence to quality, reliability, and performance standards\nInterpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to support testing and troubleshooting activities\nAccurately document test data, results, and repair actions in manufacturing systems\nMaintain strict adherence to ESD, safety, and handling procedures for sensitive components\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process or product issues and recommending solutions\nCollaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues\nJob Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a technical field preferred\n1-3 years of experience in a technical, test, or electronics-related role\nHands-on experience using diagnostic equipment such as digital multimeters and/or oscilloscopes\nExperience working with electro-mechanical systems; exposure to optics or laser-based systems strongly preferred\nExperience performing test procedures on complex devices and interpreting results\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation\nExperience with optical systems, lasers, or imaging technologies preferred\nPrior experience in a manufacturing test or diagnostics environment preferred\nFamiliarity with calibration and measurement processes preferred\nStrong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office or manufacturing/test software\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\nHigh attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds as needed\nAbout Teledyne FLIR Defense\nJoin Teledyne FLIR Defense, where we're dedicated to supporting critical missions with an exciting range of cutting-edge technologies.
