These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.\nWe are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.\nJob Description\nSummary\nParticipate in a variety of technical and non-technical activities in support of the organization’s manufacturing engineering needs including product and process design and redesign, sustaining engineering, and equipment and product testing across all manufacturing areas.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nResearches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility or application.\nUse broad knowledge of products, processes, and product use in the performance of job duties.\nPerform product research, design, development, and testing.\nPerform product redesign and enhancement.\nPerform production and test equipment design, development, and testing.\nPerform sustaining engineering.\nParticipate in manufacturing process improvement activities.\nImplement design or process improvements that originate from manufacturing.\nPrepare and present proposals, statements of work, technical reports, etc.\nDesign new equipment or operational procedures.\nConduct labor operations time studies. \nDevelop ERP labor and material routers in collaboration with manufacturing and supply chain.\nProvide technical support to manufacturing departments.\nProvide technical guidance to other personnel in manufacturing areas.\nDesign, installation, maintenance and evaluation of manufacturing test equipment as well as tools, dies and fixturing.\nManage material issues (internal and external) that arise in manufacturing (MRBs, NCMs, and CAPAs) working closely with QC\nPerform day-to-day technical and non-technical activities.\nMay be assigned to lead and direct manufacturing engineering projects.\nWork with Manufacturing, Engineering/CADD to author and release Manufacturing Process/Work Instructions. \nMay coordinate and direct other members of the engineering staff on assigned manufacturing projects.\nWork with SC to assist in procurement selection of raw materials used in in-house fabrications.\nRespond to inquiries or complaints from internal production departments, vendors, and customers.\nParticipate in Company Quality and Safety systems.\nPerforms all other duties requested, directed, or assigned.\nDaily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nThis job has no supervisory responsibilities but may provide technical leadership to lower level engineers including carrying out lead responsibilities in accordance with applicable regulations and laws and the organization’s policies and procedures. Experience with Automated Manufacturing Processes and Data is a plus.\nLanguage Skills:\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.\nMathematical Skills:\nAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply trigonometry, calculus and statistics for design, analysis and problem solving.\nReasoning Ability:\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
