Job Summary:
Manufacturing machine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Machine repair, rebuilding and retrofitting, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Structural, Electrical, and Electronics (working knowledge of PLC’s, Drives, etc.)
- Performs preventive maintenance for manufacturing equipment to electrical, mechanical and safety standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose cause of electrical and mechanical malfunction or failure of manufacturing equipment and apply corrective action to resolve re-occurring issues.
- Ability to utilize various diagnostic equipment and measuring devices such as voltmeters, calipers, micrometers and oscilloscopes for troubleshooting and monitoring equipment performance.
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical and structure repair in and around the facility
- Work in a safe and organized manner
- Assist with the installation of new equipment
- Ability to safely use a variety of hand and power tools as required
- Perform Lockout and Tagout (LOTO) procedures in accordance with company policy.
- Working knowledge of PC based Microsoft office programs: Outlook, Word, Excel
- Prior Forklift certification.
- Good driving record and current, valid driver license to operate company vehicle as required.
- Availability for overtime as required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree in a related field from a two-year college or technical school.
- Minimum 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Manufacturing automation equipment experience is a plus
