This internship is scheduled for a duration of approximately 3 months in the summer of 2027. Start and end dates are negotiable based on Spring and Fall school schedules.\nThis position requires the candidate to work onsite in Huntsville, AL. The candidate is expected to provide their own housing during this internship.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nDevelopmentImplement simple front-end or back-end features.\nSupport browser compatibility testing and basic debugging under supervision.\nFix minor bugs identified by the team.\n\nTeam CollaborationParticipate in team meetings, sprint planning, and code reviews to learn about the software development lifecycle.\nCommunicate progress clearly to mentors or team leaders.\n\n Learning & Continuous ImprovementShadow experienced software engineers to understand best practices in modular design, code reuse, and maintainability.\nLearn new technologies, tools, and workflows (e.g., .NET, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps).\nTake on small research or prototyping tasks to explore new features or technologies.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nEducation and Experience:\nRequires current enrollment in an accredited college or university with completion of at least two years toward a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.\nPreferred Technical Skills:\nStrong foundation in an object-oriented programming language (C#, C++, Java, etc.)\nBasic knowledge of the following:Object-oriented programming (classes, interfaces, encapsulation, inheritance).\nData structures and algorithms (arrays, lists, stacks/queues, hash maps).\nSoftware design principles (modularity, separation of concerns).\n\nAny prior exposure to our technology stack is considered a plus; however, it is not a requirement for this position.C#\n.NET web development (Blazor, ASP.NET)\n\nPreferred Soft Skills:\nClear Communication: Able to explain technical concepts in written and verbal form to diverse audiences and contribute meaningfully to team discussions.
