This role will plan production activities, create and release production work orders to meet order promise dates, and monitor /shepherd progress to ensure timely completion and delivery. There will be heavy interface with production management, the materials group, and shop floor staff. Successful candidates will be organized and results-driven with demonstrated problem-solving skills. This role is based on site in Chestnut Ridge, New York.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nEnter and update production forecasts in the MRP system.\nPlan, schedule, and prepare production work orders and release orders to the manufacturing floor.\nIdentify and consider manpower, equipment capacity, and raw material constraints. Elevate concerns to management as necessary.\nReview sales orders for product availability and order timing.\nAdvise order management on order rescheduling to compensate for rush priorities, material shortages, or production issues.\nCoordinate with order management, purchasing, stockroom, production cell leaders, and shipping to ensure customer satisfaction.\nTrack status of work-in-progress and maintain reports on production progress.\nProvide guidance on production priorities, expediting as necessary.\nComplete work orders and move inventory into finished goods.\nPerform periodic inventory of materials in WIP and FGI stages.\nPerform data analysis and decision making to drive raw material supply and support finished goods plan.\nManage used equipment inventory, track refurbishment progress, and create availability for resale.\nReview BOMs and routings for new products to ensure successful integration into production process.\nEducation and Experience\nHigh School diploma or equivalent required\nAssociate or Bachelor’s degree preferred\nMRP / ERP experience preferred (SAP experience a plus)\nOperations or manufacturing experience preferred\nPrior experience with Planning, Inventory Management, or Materials Control as a Production Planner, Scheduler, Buyer, or Shop Floor Controller preferred\nJob Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nWorking MS Office and PC skills required\nGeneral mathematics aptitude for material availability discussions required\nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records are critical\nAbility to manage multiple simultaneous tasks while maintaining very high quality is critical\nDemonstrated ability to work under tight schedule constraints\nSalary Range:\n$50,600.00-$67,500.000The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
