This position is responsible for developing and maintaining program budgets, analyzing financial performance, supporting proposal pricing efforts, and providing actionable insights to program leadership to ensure successful project execution.\nThe ideal candidate possesses strong analytical capabilities, a thorough understanding of government contracting principles, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Success in this role requires a proactive, collaborative mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results while meeting critical deadlines.\nKey Responsibilitie s\nDevelop, maintain, and analyze program budgets, cost estimates, forecasts, and financial plans to support successful project execution.\nPrepare and manage monthly spend plans, ensuring alignment with project objectives, funding requirements, and financial reporting requirements.\nMonitor project performance against budget, identifying risks, opportunities, and cost variances while recommending corrective actions when necessary.\nSupport proposal development and pricing activities across a variety of government contract types, including Cost Plus, Time & Material, and Firm Fixed Price contracts.\nProvide detailed cost and schedule analysis, performance reporting, and decision-support recommendations to project managers and senior leadership.\nPartner with program management, contracts, supply chain, operations, manufacturing, and finance teams to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant project execution.\nSupport monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes, including revenue, cost, profit, and cash flow projections.\nDevelop and maintain project performance metrics, dashboards, and management reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable government regulations.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum of 5-10 years of experience in project controls, program finance, cost control, budgeting, pricing, or financial analysis within a government contracting environment.\nStrong understanding of government contract structures, project planning, cost management, forecasting, and financial reporting methodologies.\nExperience supporting proposal pricing and financial strategy for government contracts.\nAdvanced analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information and recommendations to various levels of management.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and perform effectively in a deadline-driven environment.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting manufacturing, production, or complex development programs.\nExperience supporting Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contracts.\nKnowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), integrated program management, and project performance measurement techniques.\nExperience with Costpoint, Cognos, Power BI, or similar financial and reporting systems.\nFamiliarity with FAR, DFARS, and government contracting compliance requirements.\nCore Competencies\nProject Controls & Performance Management\nFinancial Planning & Analysis\nCost Estimating & Forecasting\nBudget Development & Monitoring\nPricing & Proposal Support\nGovernment Contracting\nEarned Value Management (EVM)\nCritical Thinking & Problem Solving\nCollaboration & Teamwork\nCustomer Focus & Accountability\nAdaptability & Continuous Improvement\nThis position is ideal for a results-oriented project controls professional who thrives in a fast-paced government contracting environment and enjoys partnering with cross-functional teams to drive project performance, financial success, and operational excellence.'\n\nOther Qualifications\nUS Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance.\nTeledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
