TeledyneFLIRinElkridge,MDdesignsandmanufacturesadvancedrobotic,surveillance,andsecuritytechnologies.WeareseekinganIncomingQualityInspectortoinspectprecisionmachinedcomponents,fabricatedmetalparts,electronicassemblies,andelectro-mechanicalhardwareusedinourproducts.Thisrolesupportsproductionqualitybyperformingincominginspections,reviewingdocumentation,identifyingnonconformingmaterial,andworkingwithcross-functionalteamsinanISO9001-certifiedmanufacturingenvironment.

PrimaryJobDuties&Responsibilities:

• Inspectincomingmachined,fabricated,electronic,andelectro-mechanicalcomponentsinaccordancewithinspectionrequirements,engineeringdrawings,specifications,andqualitystandards.

• Performvisualanddimensionalinspectionsusingprecisionmeasuringtoolsincludingcalipers,micrometers,depthgauges,threadgauges,andotherinspectionequipment.

• Verifysupplierdocumentation,CertificatesofConformance,andFirstArticleInspection(FAI)packageswhenrequired.

• Reviewandprocessnonconformingmaterial,documentfindings,andsupportdispositionactivitieswithProduction,Engineering,Purchasing,andQualityteams.

• Enterinspectionresultsandqualitydataintocompanysystemsandgeneratereportsasneeded.

• Readandinterpretengineeringdrawings,mechanicalprints,specifications,andinspectionrequirements.

• HelpensurecompliancewithcompanyqualityproceduresandISO9001requirements.

• Communicateeffectivelywithinternalteamsandsupplierstoresolvequalityissues.

• Maintainaccurateinspectionrecordsanddocumentation.

RequiredJobQualifications:

• Highschooldiplomaorequivalent.

• 2+yearsofqualityinspectionexperienceinamanufacturingenvironment.

• Experienceperformingdimensionalinspectionsofmachined,fabricated,electronic,orelectro-mechanicalcomponents.

• Abilitytoreadandinterpretengineeringdrawings,mechanicalprints,andspecifications.

• Experienceusinginspectionandmeasurementtoolssuchascalipers,micrometers,gauges,andmeasuringinstruments.

• Strongattentiontodetailandorganizationalskills.

• ProficiencywithMicrosoftOfficeapplications.

• Strongverbalandwrittencommunicationskills.

• Abilitytoliftupto50poundsandstandforextendedperiodsasneeded.

StronglyPreferredJobQualifications:

• ExperiencewithGD&T(GeometricDimensioning&Tolerancing).

• FamiliaritywithFirstArticleInspection(FAI)documentation.

• KnowledgeofCNCmachinedparts,metalfabricationprocesses,andmechanicalfasteners.

• Familiaritywithweldingprocessesandweldinspectiontechniques.

• Experienceperformingincoming,receiving,in-process,orfinalinspectionsinamanufacturingenvironment.

• Experienceworkinginaerospace,defense,electronicsmanufacturing,industrialequipment,orelectro-mechanicalmanufacturingenvironments.

• ExperienceworkinginanISO9001,AS9100,orsimilarquality-managedmanufacturingenvironment.

• ExperienceusingSAP,SharePoint,orsimilarbusinesssystems.

• ExperiencewithopticalmeasurementsystemssuchasKeyenceequipment.
