In this role, you will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations teams to identify and resolve quality issues, improve process capability, reduce defects, and enhance overall product performance.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional who enjoys being on the production floor, leading root cause investigations, and driving measurable improvements in quality, yield, and operational efficiency.\nWhat You'll Do\nServe as the primary Quality Engineering resource supporting manufacturing operations and production teams.\nMaintain an active presence on the production floor to monitor processes, identify risks, and drive corrective actions.\nLead root cause investigations and corrective action activities for internal nonconformances, customer complaints, and production-related quality issues.\nPartner with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to improve processes, work instructions, inspection methods, and control plans.\nUtilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce defects, scrap, rework, and process variation.\nConduct process capability studies (Cp/Cpk), risk assessments, PFMEAs, and process validation activities.\nSupport Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including disposition recommendations and prevention of repeat issues.\nAnalyze production quality data and key performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.\nParticipate in product and contract reviews to ensure customer and regulatory quality requirements are met.\nDevelop and implement inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to support product quality objectives.\nFacilitate corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities and verify effectiveness of implemented solutions.\nSupport internal and external audits and participate in maintaining ISO-compliant quality management systems.\nProvide training and coaching to production personnel to strengthen quality awareness and ownership.\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.\n2-5 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience supporting production operations and resolving manufacturing quality issues.\nStrong understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.\nExperience reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nUS person status required for access to ITAR controlled technical data.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in aerospace, defense, electronics, electromechanical, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.\nWorking knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality management systems.\nExperience with PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, Cp/Cpk studies, and risk-based quality tools.\nLean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training or certification preferred.\nExperience with CAPA, MRB, and internal auditing activities.\nWhy Join Us?\nPlay a critical role in supporting new products and manufacturing excellence.\nWork cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Quality leadership.\nLead impactful continuous improvement initiatives with measurable business results.\nGrowth opportunities within a dynamic manufacturing environment.\nCompetitive compensation and benefits package.\nOffers contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen.\nTeledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
