Job Description
Position Summary
The Quality Technician supports quality assurance and quality control activities across manufacturing and operational processes to ensure products meet internal, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role performs inspections, testing, calibration, data collection, and analysis while partnering with engineers and production teams to identify quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Perform quality control inspections and testing of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Support quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with established procedures, specifications, and standards.
Assist engineers with equipment setup, calibration, validation, and qualification activities.
Collect, analyze, and document quality data using specialized software and quality management systems.
Investigate non-conforming products and support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
Perform rework verification and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented.
Assist in the development, improvement, and maintenance of quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection methods.
Generate reports, maintain quality records, and support audit activities.
Participate in product and process validation activities, engineering trials, and experiments.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with company quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety procedures.
Qualifications
Diploma or Technical Certificate in Quality, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, quality, or engineering support environment.
Knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, metrology, and calibration practices.
Experience using quality analysis tools and data collection software.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, or similar).
Statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis experience.
Internal auditor training or quality certification (CQIA, CQT, etc.).
