Teledyne Microwave Solutions brings over five decades of innovation in high-performance MW/RF components and assemblies, trusted by aerospace, EW, radar, and satcom customers worldwide.\nAs the manager of our RF & Microwave Design Engineering team, you’ll guide talented engineers, drive advanced architectures, and help bring next-generation solid-state power amplifiers and multifunction modules from concept to mission-ready hardware.\nWhat you’ll do\nLead a multidisciplinary RF/Microwave design team developing SSPAs and multifunction modules for defense and space applications.\n\nOversee architecture definition, chain analysis, and frequency planning for complex RF systems.\n\nGuide the design of RF components using tools such as ADS, MWO, HFSS, Sonnet, Spice, or Cadence.\n\nEvaluate and select active/passive devices including LNAs, PAs, filters, mixers, multipliers, oscillators, and synthesizers.\n\nDirect prototype builds, hardware layout, tuning, characterization, and performance verification.\n\nManage personnel development, technical reviews, and cross-functional execution from concept through production release.\n\nLead PDR/CDR/PRR reviews and present technical findings to customers and internal leadership.\n\nSupport proposal development and technical strategy for new business opportunities.\n\nChampion technology trends and SWaP improvements to maintain industry competitiveness.\n\nWhat you need\nRequired: Deep expertise in RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave devices, circuits, and systems.\n\nRequired: Hands-on experience designing high-frequency receivers, transmitters, and signal-generation circuits.\n\nRequired: Strong lab skills, including tuning, alignment, and use of RF test equipment.\n\nRequired: Ability to lead engineering teams and manage multiple concurrent projects.\n\nRequired: 15+ years in the microwave/RF industry.\n\nRequired: BSEE; Advantage: MSEE.\n\nAdvantage: Experience with space-grade products and EM simulation tools (HFSS, CST, Sonnet).\n\nRequired: U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Security Clearance.\n\nWhat we offer\nThe opportunity to build mission-critical hardware trusted in defense and space systems.\n\nA culture that values deep engineering expertise and innovative thinking.\n\nCollaboration with specialists across Teledyne’s diverse technology portfolio.\n\nStability, heritage, and long-term investment in advanced RF research.\n\nSupport for continued technical growth and leadership development.\n\nWhat happens next\nYour application will be reviewed by our talent acquisition team.
