In addition to designing the hardware, the job also includes participating in the entire product development process all the way from designing the product requirements to product launch and mass production of exciting next generation high value-added instruments, using state of the art technology.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nArchitecting and design of RF & Microwave assemblies, precision analog and mixed signal circuitry used in Probes and Acquisition systems of the next generations\nCreate documentation required for product planning and architecting.\nCreate schematic design and overviewing layout of complex high-frequency PCBs, ceramic and/or organic packages.\nDesign test fixtures and automated test routines to support testing of prototypes\nWork within a team including Marketing, Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing engineers, to bring idea into shippable products.\nHelp supporting and reviewing changes to products throughout their life in operation.\nResponsible for the release of the engineering design package to the production configuration management system\nEducation and Experience\nBSEE or MSEE degree\nBetween 5 - 10 years of electronic design experience\nJob Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nThe ability to think logically, to learn quickly and the desire to learn new things are among the most important attributes for this position.\nMust have the following requirements:\nExperience in RF and Microwave Circuit Design\nExperience with RF specific tools such as Microwave Office, ADS, VSS, Genesys, Sonnet 3D Planar, HFSS & CST\nKnowledge of PCB layout for RF & Microwave circuits\nAdvanced RF/Analog/Digital lab skills.\nExperience with standard lab equipment such as Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes\nExcellent communication skills, ability to drive meetings, design reviews, and create content (drawings, slides, graphs) to explain complex systems or data.\nBeing able to train and mentor new engineers.\nPreferred:\nKnowledge of general electronic design including power supply design, microcontrollers, clocking design and PCBA technology.\nAbility to understand circuits in the frequency and time domain\nAbility to work within and coordinate activities among a cross-disciplinary team including Mechanical, Software, QA, and Manufacturing Engineers\nDesign simulation analysis with Orcad, PSpice, Excel, Ansys tools, MATLAB or other software tools.\nPython, VB or similar scripting capability for measurement automation and data analysis.\nAbility to manage your own project or subsystem from a schedule and risk mitigation point of view, cost and materials perspective\nBasic knowledge of digital signal processing theory.\nSalary Range:\n$141,900.00-$189,200.000The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
