Businesses worldwide use our systems to create next-generation high-performance communication, consumer electronics, and computer products.\nWe are looking for an ambitious and talented Senior Software Engineer to be a driving member of the software development team and develop Qt based GUI for test equipment used by top engineers at all major manufactures of the latest video, audio, gaming, and computer devices worldwide.\nYou should be open-minded, a quick learner, and understand and define complex architectures and solutions.\nBe part of our passionate team, and you get exposure to new products and technologies years before they reach the market. We have the pleasure of working with technology industry leaders from early specification to wide market adoption.\nYou will work with multiple teams within our engineering team and across departments, including Product Management, Sales, Application engineering, Operations and Validation teams.\nThrough hands-on learning, studying technical specifications, interacting with peers and end-users, and mentoring, you will extend your expertise in serial data protocols and in our instruments that test and validate these protocols, enabling you to be part of a leading expert team in this field.\nResponsibilities:\nLead the application development involving GUI design and SW/HW integration of our products.\nTake part in and lead the full software development life cycle.\nBe an active contributor in an agile, multi-disciplinary team to design and implement software for complex and high performance systems.\nWork with our Customer Support team and with customers directly to achieve and maintain customer delight.\nMentor team members.\nBreakdown the tasks for the team.\nCoordinate and prioritize deliveries with stakeholders.\nRequirements:\nDemonstrated expertise developing software for embedded platforms in Qt and C++ (typically 7+ years of experience). \nLinux multi-threaded development experience is required.\nUX experience is must.\n3+ years of significant Qt and QML experience.\nExcellent software engineering skills including architectural definition, task identification, design, implementation, and test - from concept through maintenance.\nMust be comfortable working with hardware development engineers and interfacing to custom hardware devices, including interrupt driven interfaces.\nA background using an efficient development process for high quality deliverables is needed.\nStrong commitment to teamwork and good communication skills.\nBSCS, BSCE, or BSEE degree.\nPreferred Skills/Experience:\nExperience programming with Java, and/or Python.\nLinux kernel-level experience.\nNetwork/TCP/IP protocol experience.\nTeledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
