This includes responsibility for requirements review and assessment, system conceptual/detailed design, checkout, integration, verification, documentation, and design reviews support.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nSystem-level architectural design (HW and SW), and interfaces definition\nAbility to understand high-level requirements and effectively translate them into derived requirements, implementation, test, etc. Conduct requirements assessment, review and tracking. Create requirements verification matrices.\nStrong debug / troubleshooting skills. Performance and documentation of root-cause failure analysis and corrective action recommendations\nAble to do embedded coding / debug (embedded software design experience)\nAble to develop SDRLs/analyses and lead technical discussions with customers and vendors\nPreparing and conducting design reviews\nTechnical mentoring of junior engineers\nApply continuous improvement methods to existing processes/procedures\nQualifications:\nBachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university, preferably in System Engineering from an ABET accredited school;\nAt least a minimum of eight (5) years of experience in System Engineering for defense and/or aerospace programs.\nEmbedded software design experience.\nAdvance knowledge with Microsoft Application tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook\nExperience with Green Hills Integrity is a plus\nAbility to generate engineering documentation (specifications, compliance matrices, presentations, analyses, reports, etc.)\nUnderstanding of configuration management principles\nFamiliar with DO-160, MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 test requirements\nFamiliar with DO-178C and DO-254 process guidance\nStrongly prefer Avionics development experience including DO-178C and DO-254\nStrong communication (written, oral, and presentations) and interpersonal skills.\nMust be a U.S. Person due to ITAR restrictions\nAbility to prioritize work in a fast paced, high product mix environment\nAbility to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds\nDue to the nature of the work performed at this facility and applicable access restrictions, successful applicants must qualify as a “U.S. Person,” defined as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.\nTo support a safe and drug-free workplace, Teledyne Energetics requires candidates to successfully complete a background check and pass a drug screen prior to employment.\nSalary Range:\n$90,800.00-$121,100.000The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
