These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.\nWe are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.\nJob Description\nSummary\nThe Tester (Test Operator) performs functional, electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing of assemblies, subassemblies, and finished products to verify compliance with engineering specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards. The position is responsible for operating test equipment, documenting test results, identifying nonconformances, and supporting production objectives while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nThe essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:\nPerform production testing of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical products in accordance with approved work instructions, procedures, and test specifications.\nSet up, operate, and verify test equipment, fixtures, instrumentation, and associated hardware required to perform testing activities.\nReview and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, travelers, work instructions, and test procedures.\nRecord test results accurately and completely within applicable systems and documentation.\nIdentify, document, and report product failures, defects, or nonconforming conditions.\nTroubleshoot basic product and equipment issues and communicate findings to supervisors, engineering, quality, or other support personnel.\nMonitor production test activities to ensure compliance with established quality requirements.\nVerify calibration status of test equipment prior to use.\nMaintain accurate production and quality records to support customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, safety, and cost reduction.\nFollow ESD, FOD, and contamination control requirements as applicable.\nMaintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.\nAdhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.\nAssist with training activities and cross-functional support as assigned.\nPerform other duties as assigned by management.\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nTechnical certification, vocational training, or military electronics training preferred.\nExperience\n1-3 years of manufacturing, electronics testing, inspection, or related experience preferred.\nExperience operating test equipment in a production environment preferred.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, and work instructions.\nAbility to operate a variety of test and measurement equipment.\nWorking knowledge of electronic and electro-mechanical testing principles.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.\nAbility to identify and report discrepancies and nonconforming conditions.\nBasic computer skills, including data entry and use of manufacturing systems.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and within a team environment.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills.\nTeledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
