This internship provides exposure to applying industrial engineering principles in a high-volume distribution environment with an emphasis on efficiency, ergonomics, and continuous improvement. Interns will contribute to real improvement initiatives while gaining valuable technical and analytical experience.\nAnticipated Start Date: January 2027\nAnticipated End Date: April/May 2027\nLocation: Olive Branch, MS\nWeekly Hours: 30 hours per week\nPrincipal Responsibilities\nCollect, analyze, and interpret time study, labor usage, and workflow data.\nAssist in developing labor standards, productivity benchmarks, and capacity models.\nSupport warehouse layout and material flow projects (AutoCAD exposure a plus).\nContribute to Kaizen and Lean projects, helping reduce waste and improve efficiency.\nPartner with supervisors and managers to trial and validate process changes.\nPresent a final project on an assigned operational improvement opportunity.\nEducation / Experience Requirements\nActively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.\nStrong quantitative and problem-solving skills.\nInterest in Lean, Six Sigma, and process optimization.\nProficiency in Excel; exposure to AutoCAD, simulation tools, or WMS preferred.\nSpecialized Skills / Other Requirements\nExposure to data collection and analysis in an operational setting.\nHands-on experience with process mapping and workflow improvement.\nParticipation in real-world Lean/Kaizen initiatives.\nStrong teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.\nThe pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $20.00 and $25.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.\nIf hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.\nAt Teleflex, we follow a comprehensive hiring process.
