For more information, please visit teleflex.com.\nPosition Summary\nThe Production Engineering Technician works closely with the Production Engineer to support the administration and coordination of production engineering projects, policies, processes, methods, and procedures. This role aims to enhance operational performance, minimize waste and delays, and drive cost reductions throughout the organization. This individual will work closely with the Production Engineer to support production transfers and implement process optimizations. The Production Engineering Technician establishes and maintains effective communication with employees, the manufacturing and quality departments, management, and other internal/external stakeholders.\nPrincipal Responsibilities\nMaintaining and Enhancing Existing Manufacturing Processes\nExecute, monitor, and sustain improvements in manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.\nCollect and analyze data from manufacturing operations and gather feedback from production personnel for continuous process improvement.\nSupport failure investigations and contribute to root cause analysis to resolve production issues effectively.\nProvide first-level troubleshooting support for manufacturing-related problems and escalate complex issues to the Production Engineer with relevant data.\nAssist the Production Engineer with second-level troubleshooting by supplying accurate and timely process data.\nTrain production personnel on new or existing procedures and verify the effectiveness and compliance of the training.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to enhance product quality, reliability, and cost-efficiency.\nMaintain clean, organized, and safe production workspaces in accordance with 5S principles.\nSupport process and equipment validation activities to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.\nConduct regular checks and updates on critical manufacturing components and consumables.\nEnsure all manufacturing steps are carried out accurately by production personnel, in alignment with standard operating procedures and quality systems.\nIdentify and report potential safety hazards on the production floor, promoting a culture of safety.\nMaintain close communication with production personnel and promptly share observations or concerns with the team.\nHealth and Safety\nUphold strict adherence to health and safety regulations by proactively assessing and mitigating potential hazards.\nEducation / Experience Requirements\nNITEC or Diploma in any Engineering discipline.\nMinimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment\nPrior engineering experience in the medical device industry is preferred.\nHands-on experience with manufacturing processes and methodologies such as Lean, Kaizen, Kanban, and other advanced manufacturing tools and concepts.\nFamiliarity with ISO 13485 and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).\nProficient in SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).\nDemonstrate effective time management and leadership skills\nGood organizational, communication, and intercultural skills.\nAnalytical mindset with a strong focus on data and evidence-based decision-making.\nSpecialized Skills / Other Requirements\nNote: As with all positions, due to the dynamic nature of Teleflex Medical business, key responsibilities may evolve and change over time.\nTeleflex is an equal opportunities employer.\nAt Teleflex, we follow a comprehensive hiring process.
