Join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering innovative medical solutions that make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives.\nPosition Summary\nThe Sr. Facility Manager provides leadership and oversight for facility operations, infrastructure reliability, operating, capital budgets, project execution, contractor management, and continuous improvement initiatives. As a strategic partner to site leadership, this role ensures facility capabilities and infrastructure support safe, compliant, reliable, and efficient operations while enabling future organizational growth.\nPrincipal Responsibilities\nManage and maintain R&D, laboratory, and office facilities to ensure clean, safe, operational, and compliant work environments.\nEnsure reliable operation and maintenance of facility infrastructure, including HVAC systems, cleanrooms, utilities, electrical distribution, access control systems, fire/life safety systems, and environmental controls.\nPlan, schedule, and manage operational service providers, including monitoring contractor performance, service quality, and compliance with site requirements.\nUtilize CMMS software to manage work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, asset records, and maintenance history.\nLead facility space planning, renovations, and capital projects, including scope development, budgeting, bid solicitation, contractor selection, design coordination, execution, and project closeout. Manage architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure projects meet safety, quality, compliance, schedule, and budget requirements.\nPartner with Environmental Health & Safety to implement facility safety programs and employee training initiatives while ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, ISO, and applicable state and local regulations.\nProvide after-hours and weekend support for facility emergencies.\nParticipate in insurance, safety, and facility inspections.\nSupport internal and external audits by ensuring facility records, maintenance documentation, and infrastructure controls remain inspection ready.\nLead and develop facility personnel through staffing, workload management, goal setting, coaching, performance management, training, and professional development.\nMonitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to identify and recommend improvements that enhance facility performance, efficiency, and compliance.\nDevelop long-range utility, energy, and infrastructure plans to improve system performance, reliability, and environmental sustainability.\nProvide strategic recommendations to site leadership regarding capital investments, facility risks, resource requirements, and infrastructure priorities.\nMaintain and update facility-related quality system documentation, procedures, and records as required.\nDevelop and manage departmental operating and capital budgets, including forecasting, expenditure tracking, and financial performance monitoring.\nEstablish department goals, priorities, and performance expectations that align with site and business objectives.\nEducation / Experience Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.\nMinimum eight years of progressive facilities management experience, including building operations, infrastructure maintenance, or construction project management, required.\nExperience in regulated manufacturing, medical device, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or laboratory environments preferred.\nSpecialized Skills / Other Requirements\nWorking knowledge of GMP environments and quality system requirements within medical device industry.\nWorking knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, infrastructure, and life safety systems\nExperience managing capital projects, renovations, and contractor services.\nStrong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities within a regulated environment.\nStrong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills\nEffective verbal and written communication skills\nExperience with Building Automation Systems (BAS)\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD and facility layout software preferred.\nProficiency with CMMS applications and Microsoft 365 software\nAbility to influence and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.\nStrong employee coaching, conflict resolution, and performance management skills.\nProfessional certification such as CFM, FMP, PMP, or LEED accreditation preferred.\nAbility to read and interpret facility drawings, construction documents, and technical specifications.\nThe pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $132,900 - $199,400, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered.
