As a Level 3 Azure Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing a wide variety of cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) within our Managed Service Capability which support our customer applications and services.\nThe candidate should have prior experience presenting Cloud services and solutions to technical and non-technical audiences, as well as communicating the benefits to their organisation, with the goal of driving growth for the Telefónica Tech UK&I Cloud practise.\nKey Responsibilities:\nInfrastructure Deployment:Deploy, configure, and manage Azure infrastructure components, including Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, and Identity with Entra ID.\nImplement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Bicep templates for efficient and repeatable deployments.\n\nAutomation and Scripting:Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks and ensure consistency in the deployment and management of Azure resources.\nCollaborate with development and operations teams to integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline.\n\nMonitoring and Optimisation:Monitor Azure resources for performance, availability, and cost, implementing optimizations to improve efficiency and reduce operational expenses.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.\n\nSecurity and Compliance:Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard Azure environments, following best practices and compliance standards.\nParticipate in regular security assessments and contribute to the enhancement of security protocols.\n\nCollaboration and Documentation:Collaborate with architects, developers, and other engineers to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements.\nMaintain detailed documentation of Azure infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.\n\nContinuous Learning:Stay abreast of the latest Azure features, services, and best practices.\nPursue relevant certifications and training to enhance technical skills and knowledge.\n\nRequirements:\nMinimum of 3 years’ experience working with Microsoft Azure\nMicrosoft Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate and Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert Certification\nProven experience as an Azure Platform Engineer or in a similar role\nStrong understanding of cloud architecture principles, microservices, and containerisation.\nHands-on experience with cloud-native development, infrastructure as code (IaC), and DevOps practices.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nExcellent attention to detail and ability to ensure documents are consistent in language, terminology, and style.\nPrevious experience working as a deployment consultant or engineer.\nKnowledge and experience with Azure pricing and commercial models, and how to optimise a solution for a specific engagement.\nHold or the ability to attain Government managed security clearance levels.
