This gives you the freedom, power, and autonomy to build and innovate with confidence.\nRemote-first and globally distributed, we work with companies like Nasdaq, DoorDash, and Elastic to secure infrastructure for an AI world.\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for product-focused systems engineers to work on Teleport Core Product.\nYou will work on problems ranging from performance and scalability, security and networking, to integrations with external systems.\nYou will work on the full product lifecycle from working with customers to understand their problems, writing RFDs for your proposed design, implementing, testing, and documenting.\nTeleport is an open core project, and most of the code you will write will be open source and written in Go.\nWhat You'll do\nBecome an expert on scalability, performance, and reliability of Teleport in large deployments.\n\nDesign, develop, and ship outstanding, high-quality products.\n\nWrite most of the code in Go.\n\nYou'll join one of Teleport's access teams. These teams build secure, passwordless access to every kind of infrastructure, using short lived credentials, and it has to work at the scale of our largest customers.\n\nImprove observability, tracing and failure handling so the access layer can be debugged at scale.\n\nGrow your technical expertise.\n\nLead a distributed team of outstanding engineers.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nWillingness to work collaboratively with Teleport's engineers on coding challenge in Go as part of the interview process.\n\nBuilder mentality and experience -- you love building zero-to-one products\n\nExtensive Go experience.\n\nExtensive experience developing scalable, reliable, and performant distributed systems and platforms.\n\nStrong team leadership and management experience.\n\nLinux systems engineering experience.\n\nKnowledge of Identity Management, RBAC, ABAC, and zero-trust security models.\n\nIntellectual curiosity and a willingness to master new technologies.\n\nTransparency, honesty, and a no-ego mindset.\n\nSignificant contributions in Open Source is a big plus.\n\nHow We Hire\nOur process is designed to be straightforward and respectful of your time. You'll have support from the team throughout.\nZoom meeting with a Teleport recruiter. You’ll learn about the company, our products, compensation philosophy, interview process, and key requirements.\n\nZoom meeting with the Hiring Manager. The Hiring Manager will walk you through the coding challenge and answer your questions.\n\nCoding challenge collaboration. The day after your meeting with the Hiring Manager, you join a Slack channel and complete a coding challenge in Go using GitHub.
