Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:\nTeam Leadership & Supervision:\nConduct daily briefings with sorters to communicate instructions, updates, and safety reminders.\nTrain and mentor sorters, reinforcing best practices and ensuring adherence to company SOPs.\nMonitor team performance and provide timely feedback or support as needed.\nParcel Management:\nReceiving Shipments: Supervise unloading activities and verify parcels against shipping documents.\n Scanning: Oversee scanning of parcels into systems (e.g., Teleportal, Shipsy) to ensure accurate tracking.\nSorting: Guide the correct sorting of parcels into designated postal cages based on delivery routes.\nFailed Parcels: Manage the failed parcel counter, investigating issues, and documenting discrepancies.\nOutbound & Export Shipments: Assist in preparing parcels for international shipping, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.\nQuality & Inventory Control:\nCheck parcels for damage or inconsistencies; oversee repacking if required.\nMaintain an orderly and efficient storage area.\nSupport accurate parcel counts and help manage inventory records when needed.\nOperational Efficiency:\nCollaborate with team members to meet daily operational KPIs and deadlines.\nIdentify and escalate process gaps or inefficiencies.\nEnsure parcel handover to drivers is smooth and without delays.\nSafety & Cleanliness:\nEnforce safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness in the hub.\nOversee regular cleaning schedules and uphold workplace hygiene standards.\nMonitor chokepoints outside the warehouse to prevent congestion and ensure \nRequirements\nNo prior work experience required - fresh candidates are welcome to apply.\nMinimum qualification: GCSE/O Levels or equivalent.\nNo degree required.\nProficient in spoken and written English.\nWilling to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.\nMust be at least 18 years of age.\nWork visa is not provided.\nAt Teleport, we’re all about creating a diverse and inclusive team where everyone feels valued.
