execution risks, and release delivery.\nAs the delivery lead for the Core UT segment, the role provides execution visibility, dependency management, release readiness, and milestone status into the broader Lightspeed Solution Train, ensuring alignment with solution-level objectives, Program Increment commitments, and release plans.\nThis role focuses on engineering execution leadership and delivery coordination rather than direct people management, product ownership, project management, or architectural decision-making.\nMain Responsibilities\nEngineering Delivery Leadership\nOwn and maintain the integrated Core User Terminal delivery plan across multiple engineering teams and disciplines.\nDrive execution coordination spanning software, modem hardware, systems engineering, integration, verification, validation, and release functions.\nEstablish and maintain delivery milestones, priorities, ownership, critical paths, and execution plans.\nIdentify, manage, and drive resolution of cross-functional dependencies, engineering risks, and delivery blockers.\nEscalate unresolved issues and schedule risks to engineering leadership while recommending mitigation plans.\nFacilitate cross-functional alignment to ensure engineering commitments support overall program objectives.\nProvide Core UT execution status, risks, dependencies, and readiness assessments to support solution-level planning and governance activities led by the Solution RTE.\nIntegration and Release Delivery\nLead planning and execution of platform integration and release activities across the Core UT product.\nDrive integration readiness planning, execution tracking, and milestone achievement.\nDevelop and maintain release readiness criteria, quality gates, and go/no-go readiness reviews.\nCoordinate system integration events across engineering disciplines.\nMonitor and mitigate integration risks before they impact delivery commitments.\nEnsure engineering deliverables meet agreed readiness requirements prior to formal release activities.\nSupport solution-level integration and release planning by providing accurate readiness assessments, dependency visibility, and risk mitigation plans.\nDelivery Governance and Execution Reporting\nProvide consolidated delivery status and execution visibility to engineering leadership.\nDevelop and maintain engineering dashboards, milestone reporting, dependency trackers, risk registers, and blocker management processes.\nDeliver regular execution reviews highlighting delivery progress, risks, mitigation actions, integration readiness, and release status.\nFacilitate engineering delivery reviews and cross-functional coordination forums to maintain organizational alignment.Track delivery performance indicators and identify trends requiring management attention.\n\nRepresent Core UT delivery status and readiness in solution-level planning, synchronization, and governance forums.\nCross-Functional Delivery Coordination\nPartner with Product Management to translate approved scope and priorities into executable engineering plans.Collaborate with Program Management to ensure engineering execution accurately supports overall program planning and reporting.\n\nWork with Engineering Managers to align team commitments, schedules, assumptions, and delivery objectives.\nCoordinate with System Architects and technical specialists to convert architectural direction into executable work plans, milestones, and integration activities.\nPartner with the Solution-level RTE to communicate Core UT delivery status, dependencies, execution risks, and milestone readiness.\nCoordinate and manage cross-segment dependencies impacting solution-level commitments and releases.\nSupport resolution of integration, schedule, and execution issues affecting delivery across the broader Solution Train.\nRepresent Core UT engineering execution within solution-level planning and synchronization activities.\nContinuous Delivery Improvement\nLead lessons-learned and post-release reviews following major integration and release activities.\nDevelop metrics that improve delivery predictability, dependency management, blocker resolution, and release quality.\nRecommend and implement process improvements that increase engineering effectiveness, execution transparency, and delivery reliability.\nContribute to the evolution of engineering operating models, integration practices, and delivery governance frameworks.\nSuccess Measures\nImproved engineering delivery predictability across the Core UT platform.\nReduction in dependency-related schedule impacts.\nEarlier identification and mitigation of integration and execution risks.\nImproved release readiness and platform milestones.\nEducation and Experience Required\nQualifications Required\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\n7+ years of experience leading complex engineering development programs in software, hardware, telecommunications, aerospace, networking, or related technology industries.\nExperience coordinating multiple engineering teams in a highly technical product development environment.\nDemonstrated success managing cross-functional dependencies, integration activities, and release execution.\nStrong understanding of systems engineering, software development lifecycles, product development processes, and technical risk management.\nExcellent leadership, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to influence outcomes across organizations without direct authority.\nExperience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Release Train Engineering, or similar execution frameworks.\nPreferred\nExperience in satellite communications, wireless communications, networking, modem development, or user terminal systems.\nExperience leading platform-level integration and release activities involving both hardware and software deliverables.\nFamiliarity with large-scale telecommunications or aerospace development programs.\nSAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), PMP, Agile, or equivalent certifications.\nExperience developing engineering metrics, dashboards, and execution governance processes.\nOrganizational Relationships\nThe Senior Engineering Delivery Manager is accountable for engineering execution, dependency management, integration readiness, and release coordination across the Core User Terminal platform.\nAs the delivery lead for the UT segment, the role works closely with the Solution-level Release Train Engineer (RTE) to ensure alignment of commitments, dependencies, milestones, and release readiness across the broader Lightspeed Solution Train.
