Reporting to the manager of Systems Engineering your focus will be on ensuring requirements are properly written, understood, and flowed to other teams.\nThis role requires technical knowledge to interact with the other engineers and pragmatic judgement regarding scoping work and prioritizing tasks.\nResponsibilities:\nWork closely with stakeholders to translate mission requirements into System requirements.\nManage the development and execution of Change Requests and Change Notices that affect System Engineering owned requirement documents.\nProvide recommendations on managing gaps in requirements, and suggested updates to requirement specifications. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of requirement specifications, and requirement management strategies.\nProvide regular updates and reports to management regarding the status and metrics of High-Level System requirements, compliance, and traceability.\nProvide engineering teams with guidance and recommendations on how to derive, trace, and report on requirements, compliance, and traceability.\nCollaborate with technical personnel on assessing technical issues, and developing strategies to address the technical issues.\nEducation and Experience required:\nBachelor's degree or higher in systems, communications, space systems, electrical engineering or a related discipline. \nAt least 5 years of relevant experience relating to the defined responsibilities.\nExperience and expertise in formal, standards-based Systems Engineering should be highlighted in the application. \nAny industry recognized certificates of achievement relating to this position should be highlighted in the application. \nAdditional Skills:\nExperience developing and managing requirement specifications for space missions, satellite communications systems, or related aerospace systems.\nProficiency in systems engineering and requirements management principles.\nProven ability to manage schedules and technical deliverables.\nWorking knowledge and experience with requirements management software (such as JAMA or DOORS) is required, JAMA preferred.\nFamiliarity with and exposure to space-based or defence Systems Engineering Processes such as ECSS and NASA.\nStrong communication and leadership abilities.\nStrong teamwork and collaboration abilities, to be able to thrive in a multi-disciplinary team environment.\nAbility to present complex ideas to a more general audience.\nCommitted to excellent work products.\nAbility to manage several complicated issues simultaneously\nModel Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience or familiarity is an
