We are looking to provide an Air and Space Operations Officer (CS grade EO/HEO) to support air and space tasking and operations. The candidate will work in a busy operations room providing support to a variety of government operations staff. This will include tasking air and space assets to support Police, Defence, fisheries protection, and Border Force operations or surveillance. The Air and Space Operations Officer will report to the Assistant Director for Air and Space.\nResponsibilities/ Duties\nThe successful candidate will be expected to;\nSupport the tasking and coordination of airborne and satellite-based collection activities, including the preparation and submission of collection requests to service providers. \nManage stakeholder requests for intelligence, Earth Observation products and operational data, ensuring requirements are prioritised and fulfilled effectively. \nAnalyse and interpret geospatial and EO datasets to generate actionable insights. \nProduce reports, maps, dashboards, briefing materials and other intelligence products to support operational decision-making. \nPresent findings, collection outcomes and recommendations to government stakeholders and operational partners. \nMaintain accurate records of tasking activity, data holdings, flight logs, and operational outputs. \nEnsure information is managed and disseminated in accordance with security classification requirements, information assurance and data management requirements. \nMonitor collection performance, operational metrics and budgets, and support benefits realisation activities by identifying, tracking and reporting on the long-term operational value delivered through Air and Space capabilities.\nBuild and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and operational partners to support the successful delivery of Air and Space services and capabilities.\nQualifications/Experience\nUniversity degree / MSc (or equivalent) in Geography, Physics, Remote Sensing or a related discipline.\nActive SC Clearance, or agreeable to undergo clearance\nConfident and communicative individual\nMaritime, Air, or Space ISR Domain knowledge preferred\nMS Office proficient\nEssential:\nExperience in Earth Observation and GIS (preferably in a maritime domain)\nExperienced in using QGIS and the ESRI Suite\nSC Clearance\nExperience in a customer facing role\nAbility to plan and prioritise activities\nGood organisational and communication skills\nAttention to detail\nDesirable:\nSome knowledge or understanding of ESA and Copernicus programmes\nSome knowledge or understanding of EO data processing levels\nQualities:\nComfortable in a (scientific) customer facing role\nSelf-motivated and creative individual, actively seeking opportunities for the business\nPositive, “can-do” approach\nWillingness to adapt role to meet current needs\nEncouraging and supportive of team co-workers\nWhat We Offer\n- Work-life Balance: Flexible and hybrid working options\n- Annual Leave: Generous allowance with buy/sell flexibility\n- Pension: Award-winning scheme with up to 15% employer contribution\n- Healthcare: Company-funded private healthcare via BUPA\n- Development: Personal development and training opportunities\n- Flexible Benefits: Customizable lifestyle, health, and wellbeing options\n- Discounts: Everyday savings with retailers, restaurants, and leisure activities\n- Support: Confidential Employee Assistance Programme\nAt Telespazio UK, the well-being, safety, and development of our people are at the heart of our corporate culture.
