As editor, the individual will be responsible for editing for the station’s newscasts.\nABOUT YOU:\nThe ideal candidate possesses self-initiative to stay up to date with new and emerging technologies and methods. You have knowledge of video editing concepts, file transfer protocols, and you can work well in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.\nYOUR DAY-DAY:\nDirect and Technical Direct fast-paced newscasts and other station productions using a Sony\nMVS-6500 switcher ton “punch and call.”\nRecord and film segments for shows, and edit, as needed using professional cameras and editing\nsoftware.\nSet up the studio and control room environments for various productions, including audio and lighting.\nActively participate in the News “look” creation and new ideas for Newscast and show enhancements.\nIndividual will shoot, assemble, and edit material for daily newscasts, web, and other platforms.\nCreate graphics for monitor, video walls and or edit stories\nWork with reporters, producers and on solo projects\nOther duties as deemed necessary\nYOU HAVE:\nMust have working knowledge of the following: Production Video Switchers (Sony MVS-6530 or\nequivalent), Non-linear Editing (Avid Newscutter, Premier Pro or equivalent), and Newsroom\nComputer Systems (iNEWS or equivalent). Production cameras such as Sony Z280, Panasonic P2\ncamera and DSLR knowledge preferred.\nProficient in Photoshop, Adobe, and Canva\nMust have the ability to work well in a deadline driven Live TV\nenvironment. Must also have the ability to remain flexible and adjust to changing and demanding work\nconditions.\nMust be detail oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.\nFluency in Spanish is highly desired but not required.\nMust have the ability and flexibility to work a varied work schedule including nights, weekends, and\nholidays\nMinimum two years, small to medium market television operations and production experience. Equivalent work experience may be considered.\nAA/BA/BS in Television Arts/Sciences desired, will consider work experience in lieu of degree.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, type, edit, reach, and sit for up to (8) hours.\nMust be 18 years of age or older\nEmployment/education will be verified\nMust be willing to work from the offices in Fresno, CA\nMust be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis\nValid California Driver’s license with clean driving record, as driving a news vehicle daily to and from\nStories is an essential part of the daily routine.\nOUR BENEFITS:\nTelevisaUnivision believes that a happy, well-balanced employee is what makes our culture thrive.
