The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller with excellent editorial judgment, live reporting skills, and a commitment to delivering accurate, engaging news in Spanish.\nABOUT YOU:\nYou are a bilingual journalist with a passion for news, storytelling, and connecting with the community. You thrive in a fast paced newsroom, work well under pressure, and can confidently report live from the field. You bring strong writing, research, interviewing, and communication skills.\nYOUR DAY-DAY:\nInvestigate, produce, and report news in Spanish across network and streaming platforms.\nCover breaking news, developing stories, and significant events in Phoenix and surrounding areas.\nResearch, write, edit scripts and broadcast content.\nDeliver live reports and conduct interviews from the field.\nCollaborate with producers, assignment editors, photographers, and newsroom leadership to plan, develop, and execute daily news coverage.\nAdapt quickly to changing news situations and deliver engaging, accurate coverage.\nLeverage digital and social media platforms to support storytelling, engage audiences, and extend the reach of news content, as needed.\nTravel to nearby cities and other locations as needed to cover assigned stories, breaking news, and major events.\nPerform additional duties as assigned to support the goals and priorities of the Network News team.\nYOU HAVE:\nBachelor's degree in Journalism, Broadcast Communications, or equivalent experience.\nAt least 5 years of experience in Spanish-language broadcasting preferred.\nFluency in Spanish, both written and spoken, with strong English communication skills.\nExperience with live reporting, interviewing, and news storytelling.\nStrong knowledge of current events, news gathering, investigative research, scriptwriting, and broadcast storytelling.\nExcellent on-camera presence, editorial judgment, and public speaking skills.\nFamiliarity with digital journalism, social media, and multimedia storytelling workflows is a plus.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced newsroom.\nFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.\nOUR BENEFITS:\nTelevisaUnivision believes that a happy, well-balanced employee is what makes our culture thrive.
