We’ve grown quickly since our inception in 2019, now with offices in Pune and Bangalore\nFocus of the Role\nAs a Network Software Engineer, you’ll develop, maintain and support telecom service applications and microservices within a cloud-based environment. You’ll work across the software delivery lifecycle, from solution development and deployment through to production monitoring, incident resolution and ongoing performance improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop and maintain Java-based applications and microservices.\nBuild and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable application deployments.\nDeploy and support applications across AWS cloud environments.\nMonitor production systems and perform log analysis using Splunk.\nTroubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes.\nSupport application release, change and deployment activities.\nImprove system reliability, performance and operational efficiency through automation.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment.\nMaintain appropriate technical documentation and support testing and quality assurance activities.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong hands-on experience with Java and Microservices development\nDevOps engineering and CI/CD pipeline design and management\nAWS services including ECS, EC2, S3, Auto Scaling and Parameter Store\n Splunk monitoring and log analysis\nProduction support, troubleshooting and incident management\nGitLab and Bamboo\nApplication deployment and release management\nInfrastructure and deployment automation\nAPI integration and service orchestration\nPerformance monitoring and optimisation\nCloud security and vulnerability management\nEssential Skills & Experience\nStrong experience developing and supporting Java-based microservices in cloud environments.\nHands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.\nExperience supporting production applications, including incident investigation and root cause analysis.\nGood understanding of application reliability, performance monitoring and troubleshooting.\nExperience working within Agile/Scrum engineering teams.\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to work across development and operational activities.\nExposure to testing practices and Test-Driven Development (TDD).\nTelecom domain knowledge, particularly Broadband, Voice or Service Provisioning, would be advantageous.\nIf you are looking to take the next step in your career, we want to hear from you!\nAs part of your application with Telstra, you may receive communications from us on +61 440 135 548 (for job applications in Australia) and +1 (623) 400-7726 (for job applications in the Philippines and India).\nWhen you join our team, you become part of a welcoming and inclusive community where everyone is respected, valued and celebrated.
