This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about platform engineering, cloud-native architecture, modern integration patterns, digital transformation and enabling engineering teams to build high-quality solutions at scale.\nKey Responsibilities\nSolution Architecture & Design\nLead the end-to-end architecture of large and complex technology initiatives.\nTranslate business requirements into scalable, secure, and reusable solutions.\nDevelop architecture designs, integration models, and technology roadmaps.\nEnsure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and target-state platforms.\nDrive architecture governance, design reviews, and solution assurance.\nPlatform Strategy & Modernisation\nDesign and evolve enterprise platforms that enable reusable business capabilities.\nIdentify opportunities to simplify systems and improve platform adoption.\nSupport cloud migration, API enablement, event-driven architecture, and application modernization initiatives.\nContribute to platform strategy, roadmaps, and investment planning.\nCloud, Integration & Engineering Enablement\nDefine cloud-native architecture patterns and engineering standards.\nDesign API-first, microservices, and event-driven solutions.\nWork closely with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation.\nSupport proof-of-concepts, innovation initiatives, and technology assessments.\nIdentify and mitigate architecture risks, technical debt, and operational challenges.\nStakeholder Engagement & Leadership\nPartner with business leaders, product owners, engineers, and architects.\nFacilitate architecture workshops and solution design sessions.\nPresent architecture recommendations and trade-offs to leadership and governance forums.\nMentor architects and engineers and support architectural best practices.\nAbout You\nRequired Experience\n10+ years of experience in software engineering, enterprise technology delivery, or solution architecture.\n5+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale solutions as a Solution Architect.\nExperience working across complex technology environments involving multiple systems and stakeholders.\nStrong understanding of architecture principles, distributed systems, and modern software engineering practices.\nPlatform & Cloud Expertise\nExperience designing enterprise platforms and reusable business capabilities.\nStrong understanding of cloud-native architecture and platform engineering.\nExperience designing solutions on AWS or equivalent public cloud platforms.\nExperience with container technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, or AKS.\nHands-on knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.\nGood understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), observability, and operational excellence practices.\nIntegration & Security\nExperience designing API-first and event-driven architectures.\nStrong understanding of REST APIs, messaging, microservices, and integration patterns. i.e. RESTful API design, solid understanding of API design principles, data modelling, object state & idempotency, and OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications\nKnowledge of security-by-design principles, identity management, and access controls. Working understanding of OIDC/SSO Authentication, session cookies, tokens & token lifecycling.\nExperience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
