Core responsibilities include:\nPerforming analyses to assess compatibility amongst radio frequency (RF) systems\nDeveloping slide decks and/or memoranda to summary interference analysis findings, including recommended options to mitigate instances of excessive interference\nSupporting development and integration of interference modeling and data analysis capabilities\nParticipating in domestic and international spectrum management fora on behalf of [NASA] to coordinate spectrum requirements for new space systems, present technical studies to evaluate interference scenarios, and develop new reports and/or recommendations pertaining to space spectrum use\nSupporting continued maintenance of spectrum requirements and orbital characteristics data for space systems to be used in interference analyses\nSupporting development of spectrum architecture development and strategic planning to facilitate spectrum sharing amongst a diverse array of users\nQualifications\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or similar.\nExperience: 2-10 years in a relevant industry or projects [applicable internships and undergraduate/graduate coursework will be considered]\nWork Authorization: Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.\nRole / Work Schedule\nThis is a full-time, on-site position in Greenbelt, MD.\nPreferred Skills\nKnowledge of satellite orbital dynamics\nFamiliarity with capabilities of NASA space communications networks (e.g. Space Relay (SR), Near Space Network (NSN), Direct to Earth (DTE), and Deep Space Network (DSN)) and/or commercial networks.\nFamiliarity with behavior or Moon and Mars motion relative to the Earth.\nKnowledgeable in RF interference assessments involving space and/or terrestrial platforms.\nFamiliarity with RF spectrum domestic and international regulations and recommendations pertaining to RF communications, navigation, and active and passive remote sensing -
