Our office culture is designed to foster in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with team members, local and visiting, from other global offices.\nRole Overview\nWe are looking for an experienced .NET MAUI Mobile Developer(earlier Xamarin) with 5+ years of overall software development experience and strong hands-on expertise in Android application development. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience building, enhancing, and maintaining mobile applications and be comfortable working with .NET MAUI, C#, Android SDK,iOS, and modern mobile development practices.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using .NET MAUI.\n\nLeverage extensive Android & iOS application development experience to build high-quality, scalable mobile solutions.\n\nDevelop reusable UI components and implement responsive mobile interfaces.\n\nIntegrate REST APIs, third-party SDKs, authentication services, push notifications, and device capabilities.\n\nWork with Android & iOS SDK, application lifecycle, permissions, navigation, background services, and device-specific functionality.\n\nMigrate or modernize existing Android applications to .NET MAUI where required.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve application performance, compatibility, and production issues.\n\nPerform unit testing, debugging, code reviews, and participate in CI/CD processes.\n\nCollaborate with Product Managers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and backend developers in an Agile environment.\n\nEnsure applications meet quality, security, performance, and usability standards.\n\nContribute to technical design, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement of the mobile development process.\n\nRequired Technical Skills\n5+ years of overall software development experience, with significant experience in mobile application development.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with .NET MAUI.\n\nExtensive Android & iOS application development experience.\n\nStrong proficiency in C# and .NET.\n\nGood knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, application lifecycle, and Android architecture.\n\nExperience with RESTful APIs, JSON, HTTP, and API integration.\n\nStrong understanding of mobile UI/UX, responsive layouts, navigation, and device compatibility.\n\nExperience with Git and source-control practices.\n\nExperience with debugging, profiling, performance optimization, and production issue resolution.\n\nGood understanding of mobile application security and secure API integration.\n\nGood to Have\nKnowledge of MVVM, dependency injection, SOLID principles, and clean architecture.\n\nExperience with Firebase, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, or similar mobile services.\n\nExposure to Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools.\n\nExperience publishing and managing applications through Google Play Store.\n\nExposure to iOS development and Apple ecosystem is a plus.\n\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.\n\nKey Competencies\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\n\nAbility to work independently and take ownership of mobile development deliverables.\n\nStrong focus on code quality, performance, and user experience.\n\nGood communication and collaboration skills.\n\nAbility to understand existing Android applications and translate them into modern .NET MAUI-based solutions.\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAt TELUS Digital, we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
