You’ll leverage your software delivery experience and technical expertise to architect, plan, and initiate new projects. While working with a delivery team, you’ll support in-flight projects and implement our client partner’s vision. Senior Managers in Solutions Architecture bring their dynamic capabilities to a variety of scenarios, including speaking with prospective clients about our capabilities, leading architecture and discovery projects for new client initiatives, and collaborating with a delivery team to implement their vision. During downtime, our Solutions Architecture team acts as roving catalysts to support in-flight projects, with L&D time spent growing their technology expertise in a selected specialization (e.g., AWS).\nResponsibilities\nPresale: Lead scoping, technical design, and work planning during the presale process while speaking with prospective clients about our firm's engineering capabilities\n\nDelivery: Play the lead role in technical architecture and discovery projects, using consulting methods to refine the product and technical architecture of client projects\n\nSubject Matter Expertise: Owns a “technology vertical”, encompassing solution design, platform selection, implementation support, and thought leadership (e.g., AWS, Content Management Systems, hybrid mobile frameworks, etc.)\n\nRoving Catalyst: Enhance existing project teams with architectural account-level guidance or specific subject matter expertise\n\nCompetencies\nMulti-platform familiarity, with expertise in one or more of the following:\nFront-end: Swift, Kotlin, Maui, React Native, React, Angular, Flutter, Typescript\n\nBackend: APIs (NodeJS, Spring, .NET, Python), Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Data Services/Systems (SQL, NoSQL, Kafka)\n\nContent management systems, analytics platforms, and other 3rd party frameworks\n\nExperience delivering software in an agency/client-service environment\n\nExperience in having commercial conversations involving budgets and fees\n\nExperience with software estimation, work planning, and building project plans within time/cost constraints\n\nAbility to break down complex ideas to both technical and non-technical individuals\n\nYou're excited to learn the principles of mobile software development\n\nExperience quickly iterating and refining a product vision with a client by offering multiple approach options\n\nPassion to apply modern processes that transform client organizations (e.g., continuous delivery, rapid iteration, and agile-inspired methodologies)\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n\nAbility to use repeatable frameworks and best practices to incorporate new technologies or concepts\n\nAppreciation for the wider client enterprise, beyond a single project or initiative\n\nDesire to expand an account to holistically service a client\n\nEqually comfortable working in pre-sale and post-sale environments\n\nAn eye for detail and an ability to navigate ambiguity\n\nBonus Points\nExperience with leading CCaaS technologies such as Amazon Connect, Zendesk CCaaS, Google CES, Five9, and Genesys CCaaS.\n\nCloud Data Platforms: Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or other major cloud data warehousing/lakehouse solutions.\n\nCloud AI/ML Services: Proficiency with cloud-native AI/ML platforms (e.g., AWS Bedrock / Sagemaker, Azure ML, Google AI Platform/Vertex AI).\n\nUnderstanding of MLOps principles and tools for continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) of machine learning models.\n\nFamiliarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for scalable deployments.\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAt TELUS Digital, we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
