You will leverage your strong telecom engineering and networking background, alongside an aptitude for learning monitoring and management toolsets, to build and manage advanced automation workflows. Your primary focus will be assisting in configuration and testing of management and monitoring tools, creation of documentation, building and maintaining workflow integrations to streamline operations and resolve complex network challenges for TELUS and our customers.\nWhat you’ll do\nConfigure, test, optimize and manage management & monitoring tools for TELUS Managed Services.\n\nAssist with the configuration, changes, updates, and deployment of new use cases for our monitoring and management platforms.\n\nPerform routine development & maintenance to ensure seamless communication between our workflows and underlying data systems.\n\nCollaborate with network engineers, business analysts, and architects to translate managed services requirements into actionable automation workflows.\n\nAdminister and configure core network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, and Infoblox solutions, across the TELUS Managed Services environment.\n\nBuild and maintain Automation workflows that reduce repeated tasks across the TELUS Managed Services environment.\n\nProvide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to a team of technology professionals working on TELUS Managed Services.\n\nWhat you bring\nRecognized for your strong foundation in telecom engineering and network operations, combined with hands-on automation experience.\n\nAbility and willingness to quickly learn and master enterprise toolsets.\n\nHands-on experience with monitoring tools (ScienceLogic, IBM SevOne, Zabbix, etc.)\n\nHands-on experience with ITSM toolsets (ServiceNow, BMC Remedy/Helix ITSM, etc.)\n\nSkilled at translating network strategies, architectures, and NOC workflows into automated solutions.\n\nAdvanced knowledge of internetworking technologies and multiple network protocols (i.e. IP networking, Firewall, Gigabit Ethernet, MPLS/VPN, QoS, Cloud based Services).\n\nKnowledge of monitoring protocols (SNMP, Syslog, API, webhooks, telemetry)\n\nHands-on experience with programming languages, API integrations, Linux/Windows environments, virtualization, and containerized platforms.\n\nAdept at balancing priorities effectively while handling multiple projects simultaneously.\n\nPossesses in-depth understanding of telecom industry trends, NOC operations, and emerging AI technologies.\n\nExperience in serving as a technical lead on automation/development projects.\n\n5+ years of experience as a telecom engineer, network developer, or systems administrator in a communications service provider or solution provider organization.\n\nBachelor/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computing Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.\n\nGreat-to-haves\nGovernment of Canada Security Clearance (Level 2 Secret)\n\nDeep knowledge of Software Development and advanced Machine Learning concepts\n\nKnowledge of Cloud Platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS)\n\nKnowledge of GitHub and Terraform\n\nIndustry Certifications in AI, Cloud (GCP), or Networking (Cisco/Juniper/Palo Alto)\n\nKnowledge of ITSM systems (Incident, Problem and Change management, CMDB, ServiceNow)\n\nWhy Join Us\nAt TELUS Digital, you’ll be part of a team that’s shaping the next generation of telecom systems through innovation, agility, and collaboration.
