If you have a passion for improving the developer experience, building world-class open-source software and communities, and want to be a part of our amazing team, we'd love to hear from you!\nAbout the Role\nAs a Commercial Counsel on Temporal’s Legal team, you'll work on a diverse mix of customer, procurement, and other commercial contracts while serving as a trusted legal partner to cross-functional teams. You'll build and maintain direct relationships with key stakeholders and have the opportunity to help build a scalable legal function, directly impacting the company.\nReporting to the Director of Commercial Legal, you’ll help build and maintain our commercial legal infrastructure, including contract templates, playbooks, and processes to support Temporal's current and next stage of growth.\nWhat You’ll Do\nSupport our commercial contracting efforts for both the sell-side and buy-side by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements such as MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, and vendor agreements.\n\nPartner closely with Sales and our GTM teams as a trusted advisor, providing clear, solution-oriented legal guidance that helps accelerate business objectives.\n\nSupport partner and reseller-related agreements, including reseller or channel relationships, marketplace arrangements, and strategic collaborations.\n\nContribute to the development and continuous improvement of contract templates, negotiation guidelines, and scalable contracting processes.\n\nIdentify and escalate legal risks appropriately while supporting business momentum.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\nJ.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the U.S.\n\n5+ years of legal experience, with a minimum of 4 years in-house experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS company.\n\nStrong track record drafting and negotiating vendor, procurement, and technology agreements, with a solid understanding of common commercial deal structures, including SaaS subscriptions, professional services, data processing terms, and SLA frameworks.\n\nExperience with contracts management systems (Ironclad preferred) and AI-powered contract tools.\n\nCollaborative, team-oriented mindset with a drive to solve emerging challenges in an evolving environment.\n\nPassion for tackling complex challenges on a small Legal team and willingness to wear multiple hats.\n\nPrivacy experience is a plus.\n\nTemporal Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
