Shape delivery patterns, operational standards, and enablement strategies that accelerate customer success and create lasting competitive advantage across teams and environments.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn Production Readiness and Activation\nAct as the single owner of customers' scale-proof production readiness\n\nDrive the first production workflow and reduce time-to-production\n\nEstablish guardrails and best practices for reliability, failure handling, scaling, and upgrades\n\nMake developers Temporal SDK experts, make customer platform architects Temporal Server and SDK best practice experts\n\nSet up alerting to catch issues before customers do\n\nWork on your assigned customers' most difficult tickets and problems\n\nIdentify and remove activation blockers early before they become escalations\n\nOptimize costs and performance with customers\n\nRun the Customer's Technical Program\nBuild and execute a KPI-driven success plan tied to production outcomes\n\nDefine standards for patterns, training, governance, and operational readiness\n\nLead cross-functional coordination of Professional Services, Support, Partners, and internal teams, leveraging project management to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery\n\nProactively manage technical risk, migrations, and architectural debt\n\nEnsure Long-Term Technical Health\nSet and validate reliability, observability, and operational standards\n\nMonitor health signals and intervene before the customer knows they're happening\n\nLead technical reviews, readiness checkpoints, and maturity assessments\n\nCertify teams and workloads as production-ready\n\nDrive Adoption Through Production Success\nSurface growth signals based on usage, maturity, and confidence\n\nPartner with customers, Growth AEs and Solution Architects to unlock new workloads\n\nTranslate production success into clear technical narratives for renewal and growth\n\nAdvocate for customer needs and real-world patterns internally\n\nWhat You'll Bring\nYou must reside in the United Kingdom, with a preference for London\n\n6+ years of professional software engineering or solutions engineering experience\n\nStrong understanding of distributed systems, workflow orchestration, and reliability engineering principles\n\nProficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Java, TypeScript, or Python\n\nExperience building, deploying, and operating production systems at scale\n\nDemonstrated ability to debug complex technical issues and guide customers through resolution\n\nStrong customer-facing skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences\n\nExperience creating technical documentation, runbooks, and training materials\n\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams\n\nWillingness to travel for customer engagements and team events\n\nTravel expected to be 25-50%\n\nNice to Haves\nPrior experience with Temporal or similar workflow orchestration platforms\n\nExperience with observability tools and practices for distributed systems\n\nBackground in professional services, technical consulting, or solutions engineering roles\n\nExperience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and infrastructure-as-code tools\n\nContributions to open source projects or developer communities\n\nExperience designing and delivering technical training or workshops\n\nTemporal Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
