The ideal candidate embraces AI-assisted engineering, thrives in technically challenging environments, and enables teams to deliver high-quality software predictably and efficiently.\nCompensation (Base + Standard Incentive Pay): $182,500 ($160K + $22,500)\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES\nLead Agile team execution, fostering ownership, collaboration, accountability, predictable delivery, and continuous improvement.\n\nArchitect, develop, and maintain reusable test automation frameworks, engineering tools, and quality engineering practices.\n\nEstablish effective testing strategies across API, integration, end-to-end, regression, and performance testing.\n\nLeverage Claude and other AI tools to improve engineering productivity, automation, testing, and problem-solving.\n\nDevelop strategies for discovering, creating, managing, and maintaining test data across complex, interconnected systems.\n\nSupport testing, release execution, validation, and troubleshooting across modern applications and challenging legacy integrations.\n\nCollaborate with engineering and product teams to refine requirements, manage dependencies, plan sprints, and deliver reliable solutions.\n\nImprove CI/CD integration, automated quality gates, deployment processes, and release confidence.\n\nMentor engineers, promote engineering excellence, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.\n\nProactively collaborate with the Ten Mile Square team on development and knowledge sharing.\n\nRepresent yourself and Ten Mile Square with integrity, expertise, and value.\n\nMaintain the confidentiality of our clients on an ongoing basis.\n\n 7+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience in test automation.\n\n2+ years of experience as an Engineering Team Lead, providing hands-on technical leadership, Agile delivery leadership, and team mentorship.\n\nStrong understanding and practical application of Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement.\n\nStrong programming skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, or comparable languages.\n\nExpertise designing and developing automation frameworks for distributed systems, APIs, and complex integrations.\n\nDemonstrated proficiency with Claude and AI-assisted software engineering tools.\n\nExperience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, SQL, and modern software architectures.\n\nExperience managing complex test data and troubleshooting integration issues across multiple systems.\n\nAbility to work effectively with brittle, poorly documented, or legacy systems without requiring expertise in their underlying technologies.\n\nStrong understanding of software engineering principles, quality engineering, and maintainable code.\n\nMORE IMPORTANTLY\nSelf-motivated to PROACTIVELY identify and solve problems.\n\nBe passionate about what you do.\n\nDemonstrated ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly.\n\nStrong Agile mindset with a commitment to team ownership and success.\n\nResourceful, persistent, and comfortable navigating technical complexity and ambiguity.\n\nDetail-oriented.\n\nHigh integrity and quality of work ethic.\n\nExcellent communication skills -
