Power BI & SQL Engineer

• Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Develop, design, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights.
  • Create and manage complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to support business decisions.
• Database Management:
  • Design, implement, and maintain database systems to ensure data integrity and performance.
  • Optimize SQL queries and database performance to handle large datasets efficiently.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from multiple sources and ensure data consistency.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI and SQL tools.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics, business intelligence, and database management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance data quality and reporting capabilities.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for data management.

• Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
  • Strong SQL skills, including experience with complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with ETL processes and tools.
  • Knowledge of database design and management, including relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and data warehousing concepts.
  • Familiarity with data visualization best practices and principles.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality solutions.

• Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on Power BI and SQL.
