Manage user access and permissions, conduct regular security audits, and develop mitigation strategies against potential threats.\nBackup and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategies. Test plans regularly to ensure data recoverability in case of system failures or disruptions.\nData Integrity: Maintain the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data within our financial databases. Develop data quality checks and validation procedures.\nCapacity Planning: Forecast future resource requirements and storage needs for databases based on business growth projections and industry trends.\nTroubleshooting and Support: Provide high-level technical support for internal users and applications interacting with databases. Diagnose and resolve complex database performance or access issues in a timely manner.\n Collaboration and Mentoring: Work closely with developers, system administrators, and other IT stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of databases with the broader technological infrastructure. Mentor and guide junior database administrators.\nBachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.\n7-10 years of proven experience as a Database Administrator in a financial services environment or one with similarly rigorous security and compliance requirements.\nIn-depth expertise in one or more major database technologies (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).\nProficiency in performance tuning, database modeling, and query optimization.\nStrong understanding of database security best practices, access controls, encryption, and auditing.\nFamiliarity with financial industry regulations and compliance standards is highly advantageous.\nExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.\nDesired Skills & Certifications\nCloud database administration: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.\n Database Certifications: Relevant vendor certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator)\n Scripting: (e.g., Python, Bash) familiarity with
