Others may be assigned.\nGreeting patients, answering phones and scheduling appointments\n\nCollection of accurate patient demographics\n\nAnswers telephones in a prompt and courteous manner\n\nInsurance verification\n\nReferral processing\n\nWill be responsible for charge entry and patient balance processing and the daily reconciliation of charges and payments\n\nDisplays concern and provides assistance or explains procedures as appropriate to callers or in face-to-face situations\n\nEnsures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner\n\nManage, copy, and review medical records to ensure accuracy\n\nCoordinates the daily operations of the physician office, including the medical records process, patient and physician scheduling, overseeing the front desk, confirming appointments, and ordering office supplies\n\nEDUCATION / EXPERIENCE\nInclude minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.\nHigh School Diploma/GED\n\n5 years of experience in a Physician Practice preferred\n\nCompletion of Medical Office Assistant program preferred\n\nHealthcare management/administration certification preferred\n\nEMR/EHR experience preferred, NextGen or Athena experience preferred\n\nProficiency in a windows environment with a working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and the Internet is required\n\nWillingness to be flexible and adaptable in a complex, matrix
