(Mechanical or relevant)\n\nCTC Range: Up to 12 LPA\n\nRole Overview\n\nWe are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer responsible for Incoming Quality (IQC) and In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) in an automotive manufacturing setup. The role focuses on ensuring material quality at entry level and maintaining process quality across production to meet customer and regulatory standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nIncoming Quality (IQC)\n\nInspect and approve incoming raw materials, bought-out parts, and components.\nDevelop and maintain incoming inspection plans and standards.\nCoordinate with suppliers on quality issues, rejections, and corrective actions.\nPerform supplier evaluation and support Supplier Quality Improvement initiatives.\nEnsure proper documentation for incoming inspection (GRN, test reports, CoC).\n\nIn-Process Quality (IPQC)\n\nEnsure adherence to control plans and process parameters during production.\nConduct stage-wise inspections and audits on the shop floor.\nMonitor and control process variations using SPC techniques.\nIdentify defects and perform root cause analysis (RCA) using 8D / 5 Why / Fishbone.\nImplement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.\nReduce in-process rejection, rework, and scrap.\n\nCommon Responsibilities\n\nMaintain and update quality documents (Control Plan, SOPs, WI, Checklists).\nDrive 5S, Kaizen, Lean, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nEnsure compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 standards.\nPrepare and present quality reports and dashboards.\nCoordinate with Production, Stores, and Purchase teams.\nParticipate in internal audits, process audits, and customer audits.\nTrain operators and inspectors on quality standards and inspection methods.\n\nKey Skills Required\n\nStrong experience in Incoming & In-Process Quality Control\nHands-on knowledge of measurement tools (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, CMM if applicable)\nExpertise in quality tools (7 QC Tools, SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plan)\nProficiency in root cause analysis techniques (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone)\nKnowledge of automotive standards (IATF 16949, PPAP, APQP basics)\nFamiliarity with inspection techniques and defect analysis\nGood command over MS Excel and quality reporting\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\n\nPreferred Candidate Profile\n\nExposure to supplier quality and customer complaint handling\nSix Sigma certification\nStrong shop floor presence and hands-on approach\nGood communication and team coordination
