Built on ServiceNow, Tenon provides a single solution for marketing teams to execute campaigns, projects, emails, and SMS with speed and at scale.\nDesigned by marketers for marketers, Tenon delivers marketing solutions in a single enterprise platform already used by IT, HR, Finance, and Customer Service so your company can collaborate and get work done like never before.\nThe Role\nAs an AWS Cloud Engineer (Infrastructure and Application), you will be an integrated member of Tenon’s cross-functional development team, helping build and evolve the user-facing web applications and backend services that power our platform.\nYou will work across the stack to turn product ideas into reliable, scalable software, collaborate closely with other engineers and cross-functional partners, and help shape the technical architecture and development practices as Tenon continues to grow.\nThis is an opportunity to join a team where you will have meaningful ownership, contribute to early-stage product decisions, and help establish the processes and technical foundations that enable us to build and ship great software.\nResponsibilities\nBuild and maintain back-end features across Tenon’s web applications, APIs, and backend services.\nCollaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners to design and develop performant, scalable, and reliable services.\nDesign and develop new APIs and integrations that support our products and customers.\nExtend and improve our data pipeline through event-driven services and cloud-based infrastructure.\nRefine product ideas and roadmap items into actionable technical requirements and deliverables.\nParticipate in code reviews and provide thoughtful feedback to help maintain a high engineering quality bar.\nMentor and support other engineers through informal knowledge sharing, pairing, and code reviews.\nHelp triage, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and issues that reach production.\nWrite unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and maintainability of our applications.\nAdvocate for extensible, secure, and maintainable software patterns and engineering practices.\nContribute to the evolution of our development processes, technical architecture, and engineering standards.\nWhat We’re Looking For\n5+ years of professional software development experience working on a collaborative engineering team.\nExperience building enterprise-ready cloud applications using some of the following tools and AWS services:\nInfrastructure as code (Terraform / OpenTofu, CloudFormation, CDK)\nStorage (S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift)\nCompute (Lambda, ECS, EC2, EKS)\nProgramming (Javascript, Typescript)\nAPI (API Gateway, AppSync)\nServerless (SQS, SNS, EventBridge)\nExperience in full-stack or front-end technologies is a plus.\nExperience working with relational and/or non-relational databases.\nHands-on experience building and consuming APIs and integrating with third-party systems.\nExperience working with AWS.\nExperience writing automated unit and integration tests.\nAbility to troubleshoot complex technical problems and work effectively through ambiguity.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a remote or distributed environment.\nExperience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.\nExperience working with Claude Code to enhance your development capabilities.\nExperience in B2B SaaS is a plus.\nExperience with ServiceNow, marketing technology, or CRM platforms is a plus.\nWhat We Value\nAim Higher\nIf something we’re working on seems out of reach, it means we are on the right track.
