In this role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating, governing, and maintaining Building Information Models (BIM) across the company's data center portfolio. This role supports greenfield development, facility expansions, renovations, and AI infrastructure deployments for a neocloud provider.\nThe position establishes and maintains company-wide BIM standards, ensures consistency across projects and design partners, and implements formal model review and approval gates throughout design and construction. The BIM Coordinator works closely with mechanical and electrical engineering teams, architects, consultants, contractors, equipment vendors, and commissioning personnel to ensure coordinated, accurate, and construction-ready deliverables.\nThe role supports scalable data center development, including high-density AI and HPC environments, direct-to-chip liquid cooling, and mission-critical power and cooling infrastructure.\nWhat You’ll Do\nPortfolio-Wide BIM Standards and Governance\nDevelop, implement, and maintain company-wide BIM standards, modeling guidelines, naming conventions, coordinate systems, and model deliverable requirements.\n\nEstablish standardized BIM execution plans and information exchange protocols for greenfield, expansion, retrofit, and capacity augmentation projects.\n\nMaintain standardized data center model templates, equipment families, typical details, and reusable design components to support repeatable engineering and construction delivery.\n\nDefine model development, coordination, and information requirements for each project phase.\n\nEstablish minimum model quality, clash detection, issue resolution, and design coordination acceptance criteria.\n\nEnsure engineering consultants, architects, contractors, and equipment vendors comply with company BIM standards and project-specific requirements.\n\nConduct periodic audits of project models to verify consistency, completeness, and compliance with established standards.\n\nCoordinate lessons learned across projects and incorporate improvements into company-wide standards and reference models.\n\nSupport the engineering organization in developing a scalable digital delivery framework that improves consistency and accelerates deployment across the data center portfolio.\n\nMultidisciplinary BIM Coordination\nCoordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, architectural, civil, and technology models.\n\nManage model federation, clash detection, issue tracking, and resolution workflows.\n\nMaintain model integrity, version control, shared coordinates, and common data environment protocols.\n\nFacilitate coordination meetings with internal engineering teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors.\n\nIdentify and resolve spatial conflicts affecting installation, operation, maintenance, and future expansion.\n\nEnsure coordinated models align with approved engineering documentation, specifications, equipment submittals, and project requirements.\n\nFormal Model Review and Approval Gates\nEstablish and administer formal BIM review gates at key project milestones, including design development, construction documentation, procurement, prefabrication, installation, and final handover, as applicable.\n\nDefine model readiness criteria and required approvals before models are released for design issue, fabrication, or construction use.\n\nCoordinate documented model reviews with mechanical and electrical engineering leads to verify compliance with the approved basis of design, engineering criteria, and project standards.\n\nVerify that critical clashes, design discrepancies, equipment access constraints, and system interface conflicts are resolved or formally dispositioned before milestone approval.\n\nMaintain a model review register documenting review status, identified issues, responsible parties, corrective actions, approvals, and outstanding risks.\n\nCoordinate resolution of conflicts between BIM models, engineering drawings, specifications, equipment submittals, and field conditions.\n\nEscalate unresolved critical issues that may affect safety, reliability, maintainability, cost, schedule, or operational readiness.\n\nEnsure model revisions are reviewed and revalidated when design changes materially affect previously coordinated systems.\n\nCoordinate model release status with project management, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure the correct model version is used.\n\nMaintain an auditable record of model approvals, deviations, exceptions, and final acceptance.\n\nData Center Mechanical and Electrical Systems\nCoordinate mission-critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure, including cooling systems, pumps, piping, valves, heat exchangers, CDUs, electrical distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, busways, generators, cable trays, and associated utilities.\n\nCoordinate direct-to-chip liquid cooling infrastructure where applicable.\n\nVerify equipment footprints, access clearances, service zones, replacement paths, and maintenance requirements.\n\nCoordinate high-density rack layouts and IT infrastructure interfaces with facility power and cooling systems.\n\nIdentify conflicts involving overhead congestion, utility routing, structural penetrations, and equipment installation requirements.\n\nAI Infrastructure and Scalable Deployment\nCoordinate facility layouts to support evolving AI and HPC rack densities, power requirements, and cooling architectures.\n\nDevelop reusable model components and reference layouts that support standardized deployment across multiple sites.\n\nCoordinate phased construction and expansion strategies to accommodate future compute capacity.\n\nSupport integration of IT infrastructure requirements with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural systems.\n\nIdentify spatial and utility constraints that could affect deployment schedules or future capacity growth.\n\nConstruction and Commissioning Support\nProvide coordinated model deliverables to support construction, installation sequencing, and field coordination.\n\nCoordinate model updates resulting from approved design changes and field conditions.\n\nSupport prefabrication and modular construction planning.\n\nVerify that construction teams and trade contractors use the appropriate approved model versions.\n\nCoordinate model information with equipment submittals, installation requirements, testing plans, and commissioning activities.\n\nEnsure final record models incorporate approved changes and meet owner handover requirements.\n\nDigital Handover and Continuous Improvement\nEstablish model and asset information requirements for handover to data center operations and facilities management.\n\nCoordinate equipment identifiers, asset schedules, and maintenance information where required.\n\nSupport integration with asset management, CMMS, and digital twin platforms where applicable.\n\nMonitor model quality, clash resolution, review-gate compliance, and delivery milestones.\n\nIdentify recurring coordination issues and implement improvements to standards, templates, and review processes.\n\nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\nFive or more years of BIM coordination, VDC, or multidisciplinary design coordination experience.\n\nExperience coordinating complex MEP systems in data centers or other mission-critical facilities.\n\nProficiency with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and a common data environment or model coordination platform.\n\nExperience developing or implementing BIM execution plans, modeling standards, clash detection processes, and issue tracking workflows.\n\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, equipment submittals, and construction documentation.\n\nStrong understanding of mechanical and electrical infrastructure and constructability requirements.\n\nDemonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, track issues, and enforce project deliverable requirements.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting hyperscale data centers, neocloud providers, AI infrastructure, or HPC facilities.\n\nExperience establishing BIM governance and standards across multiple projects or facilities.\n\nFamiliarity with direct-to-chip liquid cooling, CDUs, immersion cooling, and high-density electrical distribution.\n\nExperience implementing formal model review gates and design release criteria.\n\nKnowledge of prefabrication, modular construction, commissioning, and digital asset handover.\n\nFamiliarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM Collaborate Pro, or
