We are growing our team and looking for contributors of all seniorities.\nAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and validation of manufacturing tools and processes for high-performance computing hardware, including PCIe cards, multi-chip server assemblies, and thermal and mechanical modules. You will drive tooling programs from concept through mass production, ensuring precision, manufacturability, repeatability, and alignment with product requirements. Working closely with mechanical and PCB engineering teams, suppliers, and manufacturing sites, you will help deliver scalable tooling solutions that improve yield, quality, cost, and production efficiency.\nThis role is hybrid, based out of Taipei, Taiwan.\nWe welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.\nWho You Are\nA hands-on tooling or manufacturing engineer who enjoys taking complex hardware programs from early concepts through validation, commissioning, and mass production.\nA detail-oriented problem solver with a strong understanding of precision manufacturing, mechanical requirements, tolerance analysis, and process capability.\nA collaborative technical partner who can work effectively with mechanical engineering, PCB engineering, suppliers, manufacturing sites, and international teams.\nA program-minded engineer who can manage tooling documentation, supplier deliverables, validation activities, and lifecycle improvement initiatives.\nA technical leader who can mentor junior engineers and drive clear, practical decisions in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.\nWhat We Need\nExpertise in injection molding, die casting, sheet metal stamping, progressive die design, tooling fabrication, commissioning, and validation.\nStrong knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawing creation, tool validation methods, capacity studies, process capability analysis, and DFM/DFA principles.\nProficiency with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, and familiarity with PLM systems; experience with Moldflow, Minitab, DOE, Gage R&R, or other Six Sigma tools is a significant plus.\nExperience managing international suppliers and offshore tooling projects, along with fluent Mandarin and English communication skills and a willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.\nWhat You Will Learn\nThe opportunity to shape manufacturing tools and processes for PCIe cards, multi-chip server assemblies, and other high-performance computing hardware.\nDeeper experience connecting product mechanical and thermal requirements with manufacturability, assembly, structural integrity, and production scalability.\nPractical exposure to the full tooling lifecycle, including concept development, fabrication, testing, commissioning, validation, maintenance, and continuous improvement.\nBroader expertise in supplier collaboration, capacity planning, process capability, yield improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement across global manufacturing operations.\nHow tooling strategy influences product development through close partnership with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and international production teams.\nTenstorrent offers a highly competitive compensation package and benefits, and we are an equal opportunity employer.\nThis offer of employment is contingent upon the applicant being eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology.
