We are growing our team and looking for contributors of all seniorities.\nThe Systems Engineering team is responsible for low-level management from the ASIC to the system level, supporting activities from pre-silicon development through production. In this role, you will focus on developing software frameworks, APIs, tooling, infrastructure, and continuous integration (CI) regression systems to introspect and test our ASICs and systems, while supporting teams across Tenstorrent. You will gain experience with state-of-the-art ML processor architecture, board design, and debugging.\nThis role is hybrid, based out of Toronto, Canada.\nWe welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.\nWho You Are\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or related field with 3+ years of relevant software development experience.\nA strong programmer in C, C++, and Python with fluency in Git for source code management using rebase and feature-branch workflows.\nExperienced with python packaging release flows and infrastructure, CI/CD with containerized environments and test automation (doctest, pytest).\nA strong Linux systems programmer with understanding of operating-systems internals, thread-safe programming and memory management.\nTechnically grounded in computer architecture and logic design, with a good understanding of circuit design and digital hardware design. Ability to read schematics and RTL and experience debugging using lab tools (oscilloscopes and logic/ protocol analyzers) or pre-silicon waveforms.\nAn analytical problem solver and clear verbal and written communicator who can work cross-functionally, drive issues to closure, and bring a basic understanding of machine learning.\nWhat We Need\nDesign, develop and maintain system and ASIC access and testing frameworks, working closely with internal customer teams on requirements.\nArchitect APIs to enable customer teams to seamlessly transition their execution from the earliest days of test chip bring-up to mature productized systems.\nExecute ML processor, board, and system bring-up and validation, driving issue debugging across bring-up, validation, and production.\nBuild out CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality software deliverables.\nReview code from other engineers and provide mentorship to juniors.\nWhat You Will Learn\nGain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art ML processor architecture and chiplet-based ASIC architecture.\nDeepen your understanding of ASIC/ board/ system design, system bring-up, and hardware debugging.\nBuild extensible, maintainable software and related CI and automation infrastructure across all levels of the post-silicon lifecycle.\nBroaden your system-level perspective by collaborating with and enabling teams across Tenstorrent.\nTenstorrent offers a highly competitive compensation package and benefits, and we are an equal opportunity employer.\nThis offer of employment is contingent upon the applicant being eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology.
