We are growing our team and looking for contributors of all seniorities.\nWe are looking for a Technical Program Manager to help drive the execution of complex SoC and chip-development programs supporting RISC-V CPU servers, machine learning processors, and memory and I/O chiplets. Working closely with the lead TPM and engineering owners, you will make project work visible, track owners and commitments, coordinate dependencies, surface risks, and keep teams moving toward their development milestones. This is a technical program role focused on design and development execution; it does not own engineering decisions or create or approve the project budget. Prior semiconductor experience is helpful, but candidates from software and other technical-development environments are welcome and can learn the SoC domain in the role.\nThis role is hybrid, based out of Tokyo, Japan.\nWe welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.\nWho You Are\nYou are organized and able to turn complex discussions into clear actions, owners, priorities, and concise status updates.\nYou take ownership of project follow-through, proactively identify blockers, and can influence technical stakeholders without relying on direct authority.\nYou communicate firmly and respectfully, including when deadlines, commitments, or risks need to be addressed.\nYou are coachable, adaptable, and comfortable working through ambiguity, changing priorities, and evolving ways of working.\nWhat We Need\nA technical background in software, hardware, engineering, or another complex product-development environment. Semiconductor or SoC experience is an advantage, but is not required; willingness and ability to learn chip-development processes are important.\nTypically 5+ years of relevant technical development, engineering, or project/program coordination experience. Prior TPM or project-management experience is a plus, but is not required; candidates moving from engineering into program management are encouraged to apply.\nAbility to coordinate project plans, tasks, owners, milestones, dependencies, risks, and status across engineering teams; experience tracking budget execution is helpful, while budget creation and spending authority are outside this role.\nProfessional Japanese reading and writing ability for Japan-specific documentation, along with working English for collaboration on global projects; native-level Japanese is preferred.\nWhat You Will Learn\nHow to lead day-to-day execution of SoC development programs, from planning and task ownership through integration milestones and tape-out readiness.\nHow architecture, RTL, verification, physical design, DFT, and software workstreams depend on and affect one another.\nHow to communicate program health, risks, and support needs clearly to engineering leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.\nHow to grow from a technical development background into broader program ownership with guidance from experienced TPMs.\nTenstorrent offers a highly competitive compensation package and benefits, and we are an equal opportunity employer.\nThis offer of employment is contingent upon the applicant being eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology.
